Attended a meeting today that was catered by Whole Foods. Overall, I was underwhelmed - their food was over-seasoned and just sort of odd. For example: Their quinoa salad (GF, vegan) had apples, carrots and dried cranberries but was totally overwhelmed w black pepper. Just kind of weird.
all dishes in their hot bar, salad bar and soup options labelled with ingredients. depends on day how many, but always some gf and dairy free prepared options and usually very tasty.
Went there to pick up something ready made but was surprised by their quality and availability of buffet hot lunches to go I understand buffet can be a questionable thing for those with severe reactions BUT I had a look and nothing with gluten was nearby those GF items. I love whole foods for the fact that they have every single ingredient listed on the label so you know what you're getting. Pretty pricey though ($18 for the smallest box). But tasted good.
It doesn't appear that wholefoods employees know what gluten free means. There are not many options and they kept pointing out vegan options that aren't gluten free. Or they point in a general direction and say something like you might be able to find some pre packaged options...I couldn't.
