Got GF cupcakes in the bakery section and they were dry. Definitely would not get them again.

This Whole Foods has a good variety of GF pantry staples-crackers, flours, breads, cookies, even gf pie crusts a few days before Thanksgiving. Staff were very helpful finding items.
Huge store offering a variety of different gluten-free cereals and flour. Without oats and with gluten-free oats. I think celiacs find there a lot to have something to choose for breakfast.

I talked to a chef making taco items who was very rude and unwilling to discuss options with me. He told me that nothing in the made to order, pre-packaged, salad bar area was considered gluten free and said it as if it was absurd for me to not know that.

I’ve never seen a Whole Foods this huge! Not so many gluten free fresh options but a must see in Austin! 😊
Of Course, I still have to do the research, but they have so much available for special diets. Over the years they have expanded their gluten free selection. I have been very impressed with their set up.
Not concerned with cross contamination (for the prices they should already be set up), and not many GF options that you couldn't find at your local grocer for half the price, however they have some safe packaged items.
They have a cafe area with labels for the food. It’s a self serve kind of thing so not the best for cross contamination. Only a few options were gluten free but enough to make a meal out of it. If going to get a meal with a group, this is still a good option since the store is large and has the typical Whole Foods variety. I mostly thought it would be helpful to add a review so this location shows up for others looking for food around here.

As a European resident visiting this store is amazing! So many gf options! Not only all the fresh items and produce, but dried goods, packages, quick/ready meals. Wonderful! Everything is stacked on the shelves with the rest of those items (no separate gf section) which I like too. I can shop for the whole family at the same time, not everyone else… and then me.

I hate coming here because it’s so big. You would think they would have gobs of gf stuff, but they have little and it is spread out everywhere and side by side with gluten counterparts. Please keep my gf stuff AWAY from the gluten stuff. I spend way too much time trying to find everything, and I feel like compared to Sprouts or Natural Grocers that they have the least knowledge employees and the HIGHEST prices. I also would never eat something from their lunch area because it’s a mess. No way I'm chancing that.

Don’t go out of your way thinking they will have GF food. It’s slim pickings. Among the fewest grocery options I’ve seen in a Whole Foods.
