They are more careful about organic than they are about gluten.
The best store to find an extensive list of gluten-free items! Their gf choices in the hot foods/salad bar area are delicious and clearly labeled. The best part is the knowledgeable staff and friendly service. The cheese department is a dream with samples and the best cheese selection around town!
The newly opened Del Mar Whole Foods. Great to have one close. Lots of GF items from Udi's, Rudi's, Canyon Bakehouse and the Whole Foods GF Bakery.

I think the Whole Foods brand is the best gluten free bread and the price is below $5.
Went there to pick up something ready made but was surprised by their quality and availability of buffet hot lunches to go I understand buffet can be a questionable thing for those with severe reactions BUT I had a look and nothing with gluten was nearby those GF items. I love whole foods for the fact that they have every single ingredient listed on the label so you know what you're getting. Pretty pricey though ($18 for the smallest box). But tasted good.
Great selection of GF flours and products. Sushi is reliably safe (of course don’t get the faux crab or anything with fried items on it).

Definitely have a ton of grocery store options with an impressive gluten free selection. I’d only go with pre packaged stuff though
