Wonderful bakery with amazing selection of non gluten items. I wish I could get them all, but I could only allow myself one item. The Everything Cookie was just perfect. The latte was made to perfection too.
Claims to be gluten free but cross contamination in the pastry case. Staff were not knowledgeable on cross contamination when touching + warming up gluten vs non gluten items. They did not believe it was an issue when asked about it. If you are celiac, I would not risk it.
Amazing!! My six year old celiac daughter enjoyed treats on two separate days with zero reaction and she’s very sensitive. Everything is delicious and the staff is knowledgeable and kind. They even showed me the ingredients list for one item that has dairy. This is a must go to place every time we are in the area.
I have celiac disease and had a great experience here! I always indicate I have celiac disease when ordering, and immediately the server indicated which options were gluten free (which were separate from the gluten croissants, with a big glass divider between them). He got new tongs, a new cutting board, new knife, and used a separate GF microwave to heat up my quiche. Everything was delicious and I had no reaction!
We didn't realize there were gluten containing products mixed in with the gluten free pastries. The website says all gluten products are in a separate area. This was not the case when we places our order. The croissants were sitting in the same area as the gluten free pastries so I thought they were gluten free. The person who put our order together used the same tongs on the gluten products as the gluten free ones. We did not see the order being boxed for us and only became aware of the issue when the box was opened at our friend's house with croissants in it. They immediatly knew everthing was cross contaminated. I have Celiac so I couldn't eat any of the pastries.
Great selection of gluten free baked goods. There a few non gluten free items that kept in separate cases and made elsewhere.
I was in heaven that I could safely eat here. I got the banana chocolate chip muffin, pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin donut holes, and a chocolate chip cookie. My husband who isn’t gluten free said that The chocolate chip cookie was the best gf one he’s ever had. It reminded me of a toll house cookie bar and was delicious. I would have loved to try the chocolate bundt cake and pecan bars but controlled myself. Definitely recommend.
Heaven on earth for someone with a Gluten allergy. Probably some of the best GF treats I’ve had. Highly recommend.
Outstanding! 90% GF menu. Back goods and Quich and coffee. I highly recommend!
I reached out on Instagram to ask if they were celiac friendly and here’s what they said:
“YES,, we are celiac safe. We do not have gluten flour in the air at the bakery. We do provide a small selection of croissants that we outsource the laminate dough for, which arrives frozen. They are kept in a separate display case from all our GF baked goods. We take cross contamination very serious at the bakery. I hope this helps you feel safe to come try our delicious gf baked goods! Thank you for reaching out and please feel free to ask any more questions you may have. We hope to see you this wknd!”
They have soo many amazing GF baked goods that are all delicious! And their matcha latte is great.
AHH one of the best GF bakery’s ever. Goat cheese rosemary roll, spinach artichoke brioche bun, cinnamon roll, pecan bar, lots of cookies and muffins. GF quiches. yUMM
This is the only place in Truckee with GF baked goods that I actually trust, and that's because they are primarily all gluten free! When was the last time you got to pick between like 15 different gluten free baked goods? Brownies, muffins, cupcakes, lemon loaf, brioche bun, quiche, coffee cake, mini bundt cakes...need I say more? They are currently selling fresh loaves of GF bread on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and it's pretty dang good too!
They keep the gluten containing treats in a separate display case and/or wrapped in plastic, so that's reassuring. I'm not sure what makes them different (other than the obvious gluten), or how they keep the rest of the stuff safe from cross contact, but so far I trust them.
