The restaurant is clear - it is gluten friendly and there IS risk for cross contamination. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and the spinach artichoke dip with GF bread. I felt effects afterwards. The food was mediocre and was not worth getting sick.

They even add celiac disease on the receipt! They also fill out allergy cards for the chef. Clearly marked food when it came out. Best club sandwich I’ve had since my diagnosis!

Went for brunch on Easter, got the breakfast egg and bacon sandwich. Marked with a flag when it came out, and completely delicious!

Update- I have been coming here for 5 years. Never a reaction, always a good time and incredible meal. The ultimate grilled cheese is INCREDIBLE. Cannot recommend enough. My favorite restaurant in Chicago!

Great experience here with my boyfriend who has celiac! Knowledgeable servers, gluten free menu and food markers, lots of options, and most importantly great food! One of the few places we’ve found in chi where you can get a celiac-safe burger (with bun) + fries 🍔🍟

So delicious I wanted to go back the next day!the were very cautious and took me saying I had celiac serious. They have a gluten free menu and bring your food with a gluten free pick! I got the blackened chicken sandwich and Brussel app! 10/10

If you looking for good food, a safe kitchen, and tons of options then this is the place to go. They take allergies seriously and mark their plates. Only disappointment was the Mac and cheese. Onions don’t belong in Mac and cheese.

My experience was great. There is a separate gluten free menu and fryer! I had French fries, a burger with bacon, and chicken wings. Everything was delicious. The wings came out with a little flag to indicate they were gluten free. The service was great. The Wilde themed decor made for nice ambiance. All over recommend this place.

Had a fantastic experience. Everyone was very welcoming. I loved the Oscar Wilde theme. I told the waiter that my son and I would be ordering off the Gluten Friendly menu. He immediately asked if it was an allergy. The menu also states that they will do their best to accommodate, but there is not dedicated equipment. Plus, our food came out with little flags on it.

My son had the GF Mac and cheese with bacon. He loved it. I tasted it and it was good, but I like my Mac and cheese thicker. IMO, this was easier to eat with a spoon. I ordered the GF Wilde burger with fries(waiter told me the fries were fried in a separate fryer).

We were going to a Cubs game, so we didn't have dessert, but there is an option.

My son asked if I would go back to try some of the other items on our next trip, and I said yes.

Fantastic dining experience here. Server took extra care to alert chef and manager of my daughter’s celiac disease. She had the chicken club with mashed potatoes. Excellent food. Came flagged as gluten free. Extensive gluten free menu. Warm inviting atmosphere.

First off, what a charming establishment. So cozy, especially with the Christmas decor, fireplaces and books. The staff was exceptionally friendly. My daughter took off her glove and her gold ring flew off. So many staff members ran over to help her find it! Low and behold it was recovered. The food was so yummy as where the cocktails. But the best part of this is that my son is a celiac and they have a nice, big gluten free menu including MAC and CHEESE! My son was in heaven! Thank you for not just having a gluten free bun like most places! Cannot wait to return!!!!

I came here and ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup. It came out on normal bread and they told me they don’t think it’s gluten free but I would be fine. My waitress came back and said it wasn’t and she will get me another. The sandwich on gluten free bread came out and had fried onions on it that were not gluten free.

I have never had a better grilled cheese sandwich. It was actually the size of a regular one and, again, so good! I made sure to tell the waiter that it was an allergy and my food came out marked. Drinks were great too and the restaurant overall had a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely delicious! My waitress told the kitchen I was celiac and said she would ensure everything was changed clean and fresh! I had the Macaroni and cheese and it was DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend!! Such a cute spot too! Love the decor and bookcases! They had many gluten free drink options and seltzer’s. They also had a gf chocolate cake which I was too full to get, but I will definitely be back!

I just have to say, one of the greatest gluten free menus in lake view!! such great options and they even have a GF chocolate cake desert! great for a celiacs bday dinner or a nice night out :)

this place is the BEST! i’ve done brunch and dinner and i’ve loved both. staff is knowledgeable about cross contact as someone in the owners family is celiac. food comes out with different flag than the other items indicating allergy. DEDICATED FRYER !! i repeat dedicated fryer everyone! when i had dinner here i asked for a side of fruit as that’s my usual go to, but the server let me know they actually have a dedicated fryer for just french fries and sweet potato fries! the restaurant also just has a really cool vibe and decor

Stopped in for brunch. Had a blackened chicken sandwich on gf bun and grilled cheese on gf bread. Standard side is potatoes or fries but got a salad for a two dollar upcharge. Salad was really basic. Sandwiches were good but not mind blowing. Service was fast.

Ok soo the gluten free options were amazing! They have a whole separate menu with lots of options. I ordered the tomato basil soup (the best thing ever 1000000% recommend), the classic burger (delicious but the gluten free bun basically became soggy sand paper so I ate it without the bun), and the Mac and cheese (I didn’t like the taste but it had nothing to do with the gluten free pasta or bread crumbs just not my type of flavor). The fries were amazing!!!! They had a flag on all my food to denote it as gluten free. So yummy!

Nice atmosphere and separate gf menu but beware of ordering any fried food. They have a separate gf frier but it is right next to their regular frier and my fries came out with random pieces of breading that fell out of the regular frier.

OMG! The atmosphere was amazing . The service was top notch. The food was absolutely celiac friendly. I have severe celiac and I’m very hyper sensitive to gluten, wheat, soy, and barley. My food was sooooo delicious I can’t even begin to describe it. Please stop here and eat if you have not. Don’t be afraid they have vegan options too.

We ordered for delivery. Items were marked GF on the menu. I was also able to write a note on each item to say it was for celiac. When we got the food at home, everything was labeled GF.

Tasty bar food, which is hard to come by with celiac so I enjoyed it. The GF bun on my burger didn’t hold together, but they never do.

This place is fantastic! Great decor, super friendly staff, delicious food, and super GF friendly! They have a separate GF menu and it has a lot of options on it and they have some GF beers too! My boyfriend is celiac and we've been here several times and he's never gotten sick. They have someone from the kitchen bring out the GF food to make sure there's no cross contamination with the servers bringing all sorts of foods out. And my boyfriend loves that they put American flags in all the GF food for "gluten freedom" lol. Can't recommend this place enough!

I love their cheddar artichoke dip, mac ‘n cheese, and burgers (with a gf bun)! But steer clear of their flatbread — it tastes like cardboard. Staff are super knowledgeable about celiac, and all gluten free items are marked with an American flag for safety, symbolizing gluten “free-dom” !

Ate the fork and knife Caesar with grilled chicken and it was celiac safe and good. Some items on gluten free menu were probably not safe for celiac due to how it was cooked in the kitchen. For example the gluten free Rueben was grilled on same grill as gluten bread. Our sever was very helpful and knowledgeable.
