CELIAC WARNING: I told the waitress that I had a "severe gluten allergy," (I'm actually asymptomatic celiac), and she stated she was shocked to learn that "GF" on the menu means "gluten friendly," NOT "gluten free." She wrote my "allergy" down, and said she'd do her best. I ate there anyway, because we're too tired and hungry to go anywhere else (were visiting town). Being asymptomatic celiac, I'll never be able to tell you if I was glutened.
All that said, I ordered the "Grilled Center Cut Fillet," and it was one of the best meals of my adult life. The mashed potatoes (have cream cheese and butter in/on them) were absolutely freakin' amazing. The asparagus was perfectly roasted, and the reduction under the steak was fantastic. The cut of meat was cooked exactly to order, and so tender and juicy.
Wow! Amazing food and very friendly. Best Salmon I have ever had and eat that allot when go out. The spinach dip and fresh chips were great as well.
The service was amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, and what was GF. I am celiac, so he made sure they were very careful. I was worried about the candied bacon on what I ordered, so I asked for it to not be on it. It came with it so he made the chef redo it. I had the BLT chicken sandwich. The mashed potatoes were delicious as the side I chose. Very wonderful experience. And did not get sick after :)
Read the reviews, so decided to try it out. Hostess and server were both familiar with Celiac Disease. There are several options to choose from, take care to avoid anything fried (chips too). I had the southwest avocado salad, without tortilla strips and the fish tacos (grilled). Both were very tasty. I especially liked the salad. The portions were generous for everything we ordered. We’ll return!
Several options marked GF on the menu. I got the fish tacos (grilled) and my husband got the salmon. Both were tasty!
I was at a large work dinner here (about 20 people). The menu is marked GF, but even some items that aren’t marked can be made gluten free. I told the waiter I really wanted charcuterie so he excluded the bread and crackers and had a safe one made just for me. Food is out of this world. Waiter was knowledgeable on allergens. Did not have to explain cross contamination or what celiac was. If I’m ever traveling here again, will go back! Cocktails and wine also delicious.
My husband and I were doing some shopping in the area and decided to go eat some lunch here, because it wasn’t far from Grapevine Mills Mall. The menu listed the items that were GF. The only thing I did not like was the chips were listed as GF, but they are in a shared fryer and are not celiac safe. The server did have knowledge of Celiac and they take precautions to make sure the food is safe. I had the Atlantic salmon and it was soooo good. No symptoms after eating there. My husband is not GF and had a burger that he said was phenomenal. Definitely recommend.
Staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and gluten friendly options. Friers are shared. Using my Nina, I tested the blackened redfish, it tested negative and was incredibly delicious. They modified a dessert (grilled peaches and ice cream without the food bowl), unfortunately it tested positive for gluten. Our waitress was very apologetic and brought it to management’a attention. Overall very good experience.
For one their gluten free menu is huge!!! So yay for options! Second, the hanger steak meal was PHENOMENAL!!!! That peppercorn sauce was legit amazing!!
Gluten free grits and large variety of foods. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave suggestions
Great food. Not a huge GF menu, however compared to other restaurants there is a decent selection to choose from. The hanger steak is delicious.
Fantastic experience! Our son has celiac. He is asymptomatic so it is always very hard for us to judge a place. We tried this one bc it had been recommended by our GIG group. Anyway, the food and the staff were wonderful!!! We talked to the owner. He was super nice! Later, the chef came to our table and went over every detail and option available with us (they do have a gluten free menu). Food was delicious and looked extremely safe. Be careful not to order any fried side if you have celiac. They do not have a dedicated fryer yet. Chef said they were getting a new one this week and that he would try hard to keep it gluten free. They also said that they had a lot of clients that just follow the diet so if you are celiac, allergic or very sensitive to gluten, make sure you let them know!
While the waitress was very friendly, attentive to my gluten free needs and provided the gluten free menu for me, I suspect the sauce on the pork had gluten in it as about 30 minutes after eating I became violently ill. I had only eaten at home the three days leading up to this so no exposure there. Be careful when ordering off the gluten free menu!!!
They do have a GF menu, but they don't seem to pay attention when you order off it. Of the three things we ordered, two had to be sent back. One was soup with croutons on it even though we asked about the soup being GF.
Food was average at best. My wife and I base everything we have while out against how we could do it at home. Wildwood had very bland food. The best part was the double smoked pork. We needed to add salt to the soup and seasoning to the steak.
