Wisdom's Cafe

Wisdom’s Cafe is a very popular destination in the area around Tubac. Many people recommended it to us. It was clear that many who dined the night we were there knew each other and knew the staff. There was a 45 minute wait to be seated when we arrived. Unfortunately, there are very few gluten free items on the menu. The bacon-wrapped shrimp, the shrimp tacos and tamale ordered a la carte were the only gf options. Chips are cooked in a shared fryer and the rice is not gf either. Fun environment with friendly people, though we had an unfriendly waitress who seemed to take personal offense at my need for a gf meal. Many margaritas were served but I found mine to be overly sweet and weak. Food was good and, most importantly, I did not react to cross contamination.
