Had a few good gf options. A few people have said that there are gf cinnamon rolls, but I didn’t see them on the menu. I had the French toast with gf bread and it was pretty good. Server was accommodating and assured me the food was gf. A good little breakfast spot!
Had gluten free French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. Could have had sausage links or bacon. Hubby had corn beef and hash with 2 eggs and hash browns. Both meals were good. As gluten free I couldn’t say they were outstanding but still good. French toast was made using Franz gf wheat bread so very small pieces. Plenty of eggs and ham on the side. Has a gluten free menu. Service was attentive and friendly. Some reviews say the cinnamon rolls are good but they were not a part of the gf menu.
Wait person did not know what celiac was. There us a gluten free menu but the toast is toasted in a toaster using regular bread. I wanted assurance that the hash browns were gluten free as they came in a packet. The wait person checked and assured me they were gf. Was a little bit of a nervewracking experience, worrisome when the wait person does not understand your issues!!
Went here after power went out just for breakfast at our Airbnb. They have GF items, but clearly state on menu that they can't guarantee zero cross contact, which to me, at least says they understand celiac. I opted to NOT try their GF French toast or GF cinnamon due to that statement, and the make the items themselves.
However, I did ask if I could get bacon and eggs made in separate pans. The eggs are already done that way and the bacon has its own cooking machine. I then chose a fruit cup as my side.
Fresh food!
Now called Wise Cracks Cafe. Tasty GF cinnamon rolls, and they have a pretty big GF menu. gF toast and French toast. Ambiance is wanting- duct taped and sagging seating, dirty bathrooms. Also very busy and crowded on weekends.
More miss than hit with GF options. I’ve eaten here a few times ( traditional family spot during the holidays) and have gotten sick. Cross contamination is the biggest issue. If you’re sensitive keep to basic scrambled eggs and bacon. If you’re celiac completely avoid. Nice servers and staff but they’re simply not set up for it.
I love going here, the kid area is cool, the staff is friendly but I always get cross contamination if not directly wheat/gluten. I have NCGS and a wheat allergy. The cinnamon roll is so damn good. Ugh but I cannot recommend this place for anyone other than "gluten free is fun and I get no side effects"
They have gf choices, but won’t guarantee cross contamination won’t occur. Long wait for very few options.
The food is awesome even if you are not gluten free!!! Also my girlfriend who has Celiac did not get poisoned... which is a major bonus
Although there is not a gluten-free menu, staff was very knowledgeable about my needs. They do have gluten-free bread but there is only one toaster so I avoided that. Breakfast is available at anytime so I can always find something delicious on the menu. As a bonus for people with kids there is a small play area to keep them entertained while you visit.
