Holy Nike, batman! They have a HUGE gluten free selection. Brands I've never heard of. Items I've never seen. Crazy wide selection! The photos show their gd sections. These don't include things like pretzels, bars, ice cream, rice cakes, and more. Tons of selection!
4 stars because the only credit card they accept is discover. Didn't realize those even existed anymore. I had to scramble to pay since I didn't realize my usual firm of payment was worthless there until I got to the pay part of the check out process 😒
Awesome selection of GF products all in one place. Best part is the price.
A great place.
Tons and tons of Gluten Free foods.
Prices way less than target, Walmart etc.
Best food store i have been in my life.
There is now a sign on one of the shelves in isle 19 that says there are gf items in isles 19 and 20 and also in the frozen section of the bakery. The signs which hang from the ceiling telling what's in each isle say "gluten free" for isle 19, and "natural foods" for 20. I'm not from the area, or a big city so I'm not used to seeing so many brands and types of products. I don't know how another Madison store would compare. I don't think I've ever seen gf ice cream cones before. (I didn't try any because I just have my ice cream in a bowl.) They had Pamela's products, Lundberg- and DeBoles-brand pasta, Van's gf crackers, and much, much more.
Lots of options, much of which is in two convenient aisles (one dry, one refrigerated/freezer.) Don't stick to those, though - there are really good GF items all over the store, including some of my favorites (Udi's, Canyon Bakehouse) in the bakery, but no signage to say so!
Great place to find gluten free foods...ignore the wierd people. Amys brand is delicious, so is the Glutino brand pizza. I found it easy to shop w/a couple isles for gluten free and vegan.
This place is crazy. It is huge there is so much stuff, some of which I've bought online for twice the price. I wanted to try so many things, bring a cooler because you will want to take the store home.
Woodman’s is by far the best place to shop for GF food. I often see new products on the shelf here before I’ve heard about them online. In addition to the major brand items that are integrated in the regular grocery aisles, there is an aisle dedicated to GF items. The liquor store is somewhat slow to adopt GF beers. There are usually one or two GF beer options (not including the gluten-removed options) and there are always many ciders to choose from.
Some gf items are mixed in with regular items but mostly in the healthy/organic section. They carry a wide variety of gf items and brands, some that we can only find at Woodmans. They’re prices are actually quite reasonable and we make a special trip to shop there monthly.
There's just no getting around it. If you're looking for a large selection of GF items and good prices, Woodman's is your place. There are areas of the store dedicated to GF items, the dry goods and frozen selections are large. Most importantly, though, the prices are so reasonable (well, at least as far as reasonable goes for GF goods!). They will take internet coupons (up to $2 only and no free items). If you have a suggestion for addition to the product line, stop by the service desk and let them know.
Aisle 18 has all the GF options. There are A lot of other mainstream GF options, you just have to search the store for them and that is tough because the store is huge. Better selection than the Beloit location.
