Review of Woodman's of Essex

Before I had to stop eating gluten, Woodman’s was a summertime favorite. And it still is now that I’m gluten free! Not only does Woodman’s have some of the best, most fresh fried clams (and much more) in existence but they also take their gluten free precautions very seriously. Incredible fried seafood, even French fries from a dedicated gluten free fryer, lobster - just they have it all and do it well.

I actually had Woodman’s cater my wedding. They did it clambake style and I was so happy to be able to enjoy awesome gluten free fried clams and fries as the bride! Nice big lobsters. Our guests still rave about the food at our wedding one year later. They have an amazing catering operation - will bring everything to you, and take everything away. Highly recommend!

Anyways, this weekend I had Woodman’s for the 3rd time this summer and 100+ time ever and as usual, did not get sick at all - just left satisfied.

They bring the gluten free food out on a different colored tray than the gluten food.

My favorite place! I’m super sensitive to contamination and I think celiacs could safely, reliably eat here. Your gluten-eating family will love the food just as much as you do!
