Review of Woodman's of Essex

Unbelievably good! The mixed seafood fry had tender fish, decadent scallops, whole clams and shrimp with onion rings and fries. Their batter is gluten free, made with cornmeal. Ask for gluten free, and the onion rings, which are usually battered in flour, will be coated in cornmeal.

I never thought I’d be able to eat a mixed seafood fry, so this was a huge treat! Not cheap — $40 — but it was huge so my husband and I shared. Daily specials, too.

I haven’t always been gluten free, and this was the best fried seafood I’ve had in my life. If you are GF, GO!
