Review of Woodman's of Essex

I wanted to try this place because it's listed in a lot of magazines and food blogs as one of New England's best fried seafood places. I was excited to hear that their fried seafood is gluten free. There is a sign when you order that tells you to notify them if you have celiac. I was informed that the fried seafood is all gluten free, BUT you must inform them if you need it to be made in their separate GF fryers. (They have some non-GF items such as chicken fingers, so even though the seafood breading is all GF, they fry it in shared fryers unless you specify that it must be GF). The prices are kind of high, but it's comparable for fresh seafood and the portions are large so many of the meals can be shared. They also have GF drink options like hard cider.
