Woodman's is in Essex MA not Ipswich, MA. Food was good probably as good as the Essex location. It was around Hallowe'en so the crowd was rowdy and I thought the table busing needed work. Now they are Naticook's so, that's what happens.
Great place, but they have left this location for good. You can still get the great seafood at their Ipswich, MA location.
they boast 'the best seafood'. it's true. everything on their menu is gluten free except the sandwiches. this is one of the largest gf selections I've seen.
wonderful food. go give it a try.
Has really good gf fried clams! I have missed them sooo until now.

While visiting my cousins last weekend, they brought me to Woodman's for a fantastic platter of clams, onion rings, scallops and cole slaw. This native New Englander was in heaven!! I have celiac and have not have a decent fried clam or onion ring in 3 years.Kudos to Woodman's for providing fabulous seafood in a tasty coating. The bar offers gluten free beer, too.I highly recommend this place. Did not get to play a round of mini-golf--maybe next time :) Run, don't walk to this gem of a restaurant when you are craving awesome, fresh, delicious seafood. Generous portions, too--the hubs and I ate the rest for dinner the next day. YUMMY!Too bad I live in NY --or I'd be a regular.
