I got pad thai here the other night and told them I have celiac. They assured me they cook everything in a separate pan! I understand cross contamination may still occur. felt fine last night but today I've felt a bit off and have brain fog. not sure if related, I would go back since it wasn't extreme and I'm not sure. but if it's worse next time I probably won't go again.
This was a combo American/Thai restaurant that is not dedicated gluten free but it seemed fine. Things are marked gluten free on the menu but the waitress didn't seem knowledgeable about gluten. It is kind of a dive bar and had cider on tap. The food was prototypical Thai and good, and even had some unusual options. I don't think I was glutened. From what we heard the restaurant had been American and was purchased by a Thai couple who preserved the old with the new.
My mother and I are both celiac's, and the woodsman is our trusted Thai restaurant of choice whenever my family is in town. Tons of food for a good price, it's delicious, and if you tell the staff you need gf they do a great job in taking extra precautions when preparing the food. A lot of the menu (including all of the curry) is naturally gluten free, so it's a good safe choice for anyone who wants high quality, delicious food but can't have gluten.
