We went here the last time we were is Savannah. This time though we went there to find out they changed management. There is no gluten free bread, or pastries anymore. I’m sad because the food used to be really good. I had the smoked salmon platter without the bread. My mom had the grilled chicken salad. Her chicken was chewy and there was way too much lettuce.

Had a delicious gluten free Brunswick stew and toasted roast beef sandwich on gf bread. Knowledgeable and pleasant staff that took care of us.

We ordered take out from here and it was easy and delicious. On their website, we did the build the sandwiches and got the gluten free bread for two sandwiches and everyone really liked the bread and their food. I got the salad and took off/added things to it and it was delicious!

Great food and people! They can make any sandwich gluten free and even checked to make sure it was an allergy and not a preference so that they didn’t risk cross contamination with their home made chips. We had chocolate at the end but they also had 3 choices of gluten free deserts.

This place was a gem!! The owner/chef took great care with my order. He not only has a designated are he prepares the gluten free items, but he also changed his gloves. They carry white/grain breads to make the sandwiches.

Wow-little slice of heaven. I had a tuna salad on their homemade GF whole grain. The best I’ve ever had. The fresh tomato was to die for and it was fresh tuna not canned. Had the chips-but they were quick to let me know that they were not made in a separate fryer. The tomato bisque was fabulous. Followed by an amazing piece of cake. Super place.

My friend and I absolutely LOVED this restaurant. I'm gluten free and they had delicious homemade gluten free bread. All food is made fresh to order. Todd (the owner) and Heather who served us were wonderful! We really enjoyed talking with them about Savannnah and it's history. It was difficult to choose what to order because everything looked delicious!! My friend had the broccoli cheese quiche (creamy, light, and fluffy - not gluten free), and Todd was able to make the fish sandwich gluten free for me and it was fabulous. I also ate the best Caprese salad I've ever eaten, a delicious peach bellini, and we both enjoyed the homemade peach ice cream. The Parisienne chocolates were a really nice touch and the best way to end the meal! We can't wait to go back!

Thank you so much for the review. We take care to ensure proper handling measures are taken and we instruct all our staff in handling precautions. Most of our menu is available GF as are several dessert selections!
Food was good. They have a gluten free fryer but my stomach was a little uneasy after we left. Not sure if there was cross contamination or if because the food was really greasy.

Not sure if you are reviewing the correct restaurant. We have never had a fryer nor do we prepare fried foods. While we are preparing to start frying things in the near future, these will not be part of our GF offerings nor will we have a dedicated GF fryer.
They have gluten free bread and a dedicated panini press. I had a caprese sandwich and it was pretty good and a convenient, quick lunch spot. A

Great place for a sandwich! They have a separate toaster and the owner was knowledgeable. The owner told me they’re testing out different gluten free breads. My sandwich was thin but still tasty. Would recommend!

Unfortunately, sometimes the GF bread is not what we like as far as texture, size, etc. We are currently using Little Northern Bakehouse bread that we find has a better texture and has a bit larger and thicker slice. Appreciate the review and the thoughts!

Thank you for the positive words. We always try to keep two or three GF dessert options available. We think we finally "cracked" the proper storage for our GF layer cakes to keep them from eating on the dry side!
We stopped in from out of town a week after they changed owners (June 2021) and the only GF items they had were peanut butter blondies - which were so yummy. The owner said they would be getting their GF bread in the next few days. She was very nice and if we lived in town, we would definitely try again.

We have since refined our GF menu. Most of our sandwiches can be served GF and we always keep several GF dessert options available. Our GF desserts are made by a local artisanal bakery that takes GF very seriously.

I got a turkey wrap. They used Mission gf tortillas. I also ordered the chocolate flourless torte, which I did not like. I ended up having a reaction from eating here. I was hopeful with all of the positive reviews but it was not safe for me.

Very fresh and tasty. Many items made fresh
The moment you walk in, the owner makes you feel at home. We had mint watermelon iced tea and salads. Ollie, my grand puppy, had grilled chicken. He even sliced the chicken in little pieces when it was served for him. Such a great place. They offer truffles the size of your hand along with other homemade goodies that they make at the cafe. Many gluten free options.

Everything can be gluten free. They even have a separate gluten free sandwich press for hot sandwiches!
Yes
The owner got a separate cutting board and knife down when making sandwiches for my daughter and myself.
The sandwiches can be made with an Udi’s baguette. And there are some dessert options as well.
The customer service was outstanding! We were there right after Georgia started opening after COVID and the owner chatted with us about any questions we had. He even showed us which chocolates to get and introduced us to a key lime cookie. He talked with our kids about his place being a setting for Lady and the Tramp which they thought was so cool.

Quaint little bistro. Great sandwiches. GF panini press. Wonderful relaxing lunch.
Great deli sandwich on GF roll - staff was very knowledgeable and attentive to GF needs. Very accommodating in putting together our sandwich requests. Definitely check out this place.
Amazed at the gluten free options for bakery items and any sandwich can be made gf. They really do get Celiac and understand how miserable we get from gluten! So delicious!
Yes
I want to start by saying I did NOT get sick eating here. And I truly enjoyed my pressed sandwich. I did tell them I am extremely sensitive and have celiac especially since they were making my food at the same time as my non gluten free family members. I was extremely nervous to eat here cause I watched the man take my SIL food out of the microwave then go to pick up my food. I immediately reiterated how sensitive I am and he explained to me he was wiping his hands on a “chlorine rag”. He saw on my face how nervous I was and put gloves on right away. When they say they have separate utensils and everything that is true, but the sandwich was pressed on the same press as regular ones. They just have the right side set specifically for Gluten free only. They are knowledgeable and as I stated I DID NOT get sick at all. But I would eat here with major caution. If you’re whole group or family eat GF it may be better as well.
Wonderful!! I had the turkey (REAL turkey) panini on gf bread. Sooo good! They also feature gf desserts. I had the peanut butter blondie. I can’t eat oats (even gf ones) and the owner and I looked at the ingredients- no oats either! Going on my “Don’t miss while in Savannah” list.

So far so good! We’ll know in about 4 hours of eating, but man did they work with us. These folks are amazing they try their very best to help, and figure a way to feed you so you don’t starve yourself into a frenzy. They use Udis rolls for their bread and that’s nice because it’s a well know gluten free brand. The food is amazing, if you have Celiacs tell them that your allergies are severe and they can open new packages of cheese for you and grab from a un-used bag of chicken to make your sandwich, wrap or salad. As long as it passes the “oh F*** I’m going to poop” time test Ill suggest it to everyone!!
Came from Ohio and was pleasantly surprised! Sweet and helpful staff.
I had a egg-salad sandwich! Nice little stop on our day exploring downtown. Nima tested! Did not get sick 😁

I was able to get a sandwich for lunch, and ordered gluten free breakfast sandwiches to go for our next two days in town.
Their Gluten Free Peanut Butter Blondie is AMAZING!!!
One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had! Will visit them again the next time I am in Savannah!

I love this place. The staff was attentive and aware of celiac disease and CC. They have a separate cutting board and area of the grill for gf orders. My sandwich and blondie were also really good.

I had a ham and Swiss sandwich on GF bread and a delicious gf peanut butter chocolate marshmallow brownie!

Fantastic place to eat. Food was great and staff very attentive to our needs with respect to having celiac. They have a dedicated area. Will be back!!

Food was great, they have their own udis restaurant/food service only roll they serve on which made me incredibly nervous but was completely safe. Really cute shop + couldn’t have been nicer

Currently closed due to a movie filming. Will reopen 10/8
Staff is very knowledgeable about Celiac, takes precautions like changing gloves before turning to GF meal, and has separate cutting board.
Overall - Very hip cafe set up, not a typical restaurant but a nice place for a sandwich or coffee. Menu had nice sandwich and salad selections, not too much else. Good sandwiches, decent salads.
