We wasted a lot of time driving to Tigard for the opportunity to finally eat Chinese food. We even took somebody with us because we thought we could eat there and embarrassingly we had to leave and take them with us. They have lots of gluten-free things marked on the menu, but when you ask about cross contamination, you’re told that they won’t change what they do in the kitchen.
We were shown the single wok that they supposedly use to cook all the food. The kitchen is separated by a clear glass window so you can see everything. The waitress repeatedly told us that they would not change anything that they do in the kitchen except that they would substitute gluten-free soy sauce.
The way that they clean the wok is that they add a ladle of water to it after cooking. The water is sloshed around the wok with the ladle and then the water is thrown out. The same cloth is used to wipe the edge of the wok afterwards, over and over again. That is the entirety of how they clean the wok.
I was pretty desperate to have the opportunity to eat Chinese food at this point - but the definite cross contamination from the towel was concerning me more than the quite possibly glutened wok was. So I asked if they would be willing to use a new cloth to wipe the wok. The waitress refused to even ask the kitchen and told us if we didn’t like it we could leave. Sadly, we left.

I have been gluten free for 30 years and have missed Chinese food dearly. While traveling to the Portland area we ordered from Wu's on Christmas Eve which must have been the busiest night of the year. We placed our order in person. The menu clearly indicated which items can be ordered GF. We ordered egg flower soup, green beans, beef with snow peas, hunan pork and pork fried rice. I was concerned with the kitchen being so busy and not being a dedicated GF kitchen. I ate all of the items that we ordered without issue! I ate leftovers the next day and again without a problem. I am so grateful to have had this experience. Would not have found my way there w/o FindMeGlutenFree.

The menu is enormous and most things can be made GF. I ordered beef and green beans and a seafood platter. Also had the complimentary hot tea. It was delicious and I had no issues at all. Will definitely be back!

Almost all dishes can be modified to be GF except the sweet and sour ones and most appetizers. Ordered the barbecue pork and a veggie dish. Very traditional Chinese flavor. Will be going back to try more!

I love Wu’s. The best gf Chinese I’ve had anywhere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always remember me. The green beans are my everything.
Nothing special. Family didn't really care for the three dishes we ordered. The person that took the order said the sauces made the food gluten free. I have celiac and my stomach was upset and cramping all night after eating here.
AMAZING Chinese food! I have celiacs disease and I have never been sick after eating here. I highly recommend trying this place! My boyfriend and I come about once a week because of the great options and amazing service!
