March 2024: Still a safe bet with dedicated fryer and willingness to cook sausages separately. Fewer drink choices (no Revel 😢) but some tasty natural wines. 2022 review: A favourite spot pre- and post- celiac diagnosis. Most staff are pretty GF savvy. Sausages and fries are all celiac safe (dedicated fryer). Make sure to identify yourself as celiac — they’ll cook the sausage in a pan versus on the grill where there could be some cross contact. No GF beer options sadly but some pretty good ciders that will do in a pinch.

I had a great experience at Wvrst! The greeter was fantastic as was the girl who took our order. I explained I was coeliac and they said the chips were cooked in a separate fryer and that the sausage would be cooked separately as well. The chips and bratwurst were awesome and I felt confident that they took coeliac issues seriously! I’ll definitely return for more!

Super knowledgeable about coeliac disease and very friendly staff too. I had the Oktoberfest wurst and the duck fat fries. The staff was able to advise me on everything I was ordering and they flagged my order as for a coeliac so was prepped using clean utensils etc. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

I've been going to WVRST for years now, it's one of my favourite restaurants in the city. Not only are they careful with gluten, they've also consistently accommodated my other allergies. I've had no hiccups any of the times I've been. Delicious food & great service!!

What a great place!!! Some of the best wait staff ever in terms of dealing with Celiac. All of the sausages are Gluten free!!! You just avoid the buns. Great sauces, dips, and other extras. We had a great meal that was unique and fun.

Have been to the King St location and they were fantastic, happy to say the Union Station one is the same! Very understanding of celiac, changed gloves to make my fries (which are all GF including the toppings and dipping sauce, and nothing else fried in that frier). All or most of the sausages are GF if ordered without a bun, and lots of wine and cider options (would just order cider in a can and not on tap). At the other location they offered to cook a sausage in a fresh pan for me had I ordered it - this place seemed they would have been equally accommodating.

We loved this place so much we ate here twice. I was told that all of the sausages are gluten free. No gluten free buns but I prefer no buns anyway. My kids loved the Danger Dog and duck fat fries. There were some yummy toppings for the sausages and dipping sauces for the fries. I had a great cider as well. If this restaurant were in my hometown I’d eat there weekly.

All sausages are in house made and GF. Lots of flavours and meat choices. Great selection of dips and pickles too. Duck fat fries are the best fries I’ve ever had. Gf too. Lots of ciders all gf. And wine. Go. No bun for the sausage but that’s a bonus - you can eat more fries!

All of the sausages (at least when I visited) were GF - 15+ options! No buns, but had mine plain and was very good. Sauces on table also GF and fries were safe. Disappointing that they have an incredible huge selection of beer but not a single GF option other than ciders. Duck fat fries are 💯💯

The staff was very knowledgeable about their gluten free food items. Lots of cider options, however I am not a cider fan. No gluten free beer options, and only served bourbon as a spirit option.

Amazing juicy gluten free sausages and the duck fat fries are made in a dedicated deepfrier. Very aware of cross contamination and would highly recommend.

They serve sausages, fries, and beer/cider. They don't yet offer GF buns, but ALL sausages are GF, as are their fries. They have a great cider list. They are amazingly wonderful when it comes to cross contamination - even at off location events. Great place with a fun beer hall vibe.
