They took very good care of my gluten-free question. After a very nice lady in service had already pointed out to me which dishes on the menu were gluten-free (possible), the chef came personally to take the order and go through all the ingredients with me and yes, he knew exactly every single ingredient of every dish and sauce. The sushi rice here is made with rice vinegar (not grain vinegar) and there is gluten-free soy sauce. So after 3 weeks in Japan I was able to eat sushi for the first time - thank you for that! :) My sushi was delicious and so was my husband's grilled eel (not gluten free in his version). Definitely recommended!

Based on earlier reviews I was so excited for tempura—when I asked about it after showing my gf card-the owner promptly informed me that tempura”gf tempura is impossible.” I went with grilled sea eel instead and while it wasn’t deep fried and crispy-it was absolutely delicious! They were very knowledgeable about the foods on the menu that can be made gf and the chef came out personally which is always a nice touch.

The staff was very knowledgable about gluten allergy. They have soy sauce only made from soy, can make gluten free ponzu sauce (rare to find in Japan) and assured me the food would be prepared separately. The waiter was very kind!!

Staff are well aware of Gluten Free and carry separate Gluten Free soy sauce. Not everything on the menu can be gluten free due to use of Miso but there is plenty to choose from.
