My server was very knowledgeable and accommodating! I am celiac and vegan so I ate beforehand after seeing these reviews before expecting I wouldn’t be able to find anything. I was pleasantly surprised how accommodating the server was! This was my experience and other people didn’t have as good of an experience, so keep that in mind.

very few gf options and not the most accommodating. they do not do substitutions for rolls and use wheat flour in some of their rice based dishes. for example, the crispy rice is not gf and the mochi they use in desserts is not gf. the main fish dish (sea bass) is not gf because they marinate it in regular soy sauce the day prior. the la-yu branzino fish, however, is gf and was very good. there is only 1 dessert that is gf and the day that I went, it was sold out. overall, very expensive for limited options.

This place had very limited gf options, and will not accommodate/ substitute any of their rolls. They have a big potential for cross contamination due to the shared grill which comes in contact with soy sauce. They did have gluten free soy sauce, but after triple checking with waiter on what was safe, I still had a reaction to the sweet potatoes. Very pretty place though and aesthetically pleasing.

I’ve been coming here for years and prior to the pandemic, they were very accommodating. Unfortunately, they changed their menu when they reopened and are no longer able to make modifications or limit cross contamination for many of their items So now there are only a few options (basically, sushi and sashimi). They do have gluten free soy sauce, but they are not able to make any modifications on any of the other rolls, which is disappointing. Still, it’s a great view.

The Atmosphere and view are Amazing!!! There were only 3 or 4 gluten free options but the wait staff seemed knowledgeable and I did not have a reaction. Personally if i go back it would be to sit on the patio and have a drink The food was not worth the price in my opinion
