They were aware of how to make their sushi gluten free, like no tempura or crunchies or certain sauces. They also have gluten free soy sauce. They seemed accommodating after explaining I have a severe allergy. BUT they brought out a dish that looked like it had soy sauce below the fish. I asked and she confirmed it was not soy sauce and was gluten free. A different role came out later with a similar looking sauce so I asked to confirm if it was soy or a different sauce and to confirm it was gluten free. The manager who brought it out said “well no, it’s not soy sauce, but it’s not gluten free. It has a little soy sauce in it”. I made another comment how I was allergic and wanted the check so I could leave immediately, he kept insisting “it is just a little bit”. So while yes, they have some gluten free options, it is clear they DO NOT understand allergies or celiac and think it’s okay to eat “just a little bit”. Would not recommend.
