Wish I could give a review on the food but I can’t. My in laws were very excited to bring us here as we have two recently diagnosed kids with celiac. We arrived at 9 per the websites opening time and they had a sign on the door that indicated that their summer hours were different and the didn’t open until 10. We found a park near by and played for a bit and then came back at 10. At 10:15 we called the number on the website and the owner said he was running late but would be there in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later they are still not here. I would call before heading to this place.
Very good food, however wouldn’t recommend ordering catering for an event, I tried to and I was given cookies I didn’t order, still good but not what I ordered and payed for.
Met one of the owners who was very friendly and helpful. I bought one vanilla cupcake and an absolutely beautifully decorated iced sugar cookie. Not only was everything lovely looking but it was all SO delicious! I’ve traveled a lot and try gf bakeries wherever we are and I am often underwhelmed or disappointed. I can tell you that this place is legit. If I’m ever in the area again I will be coming for a meal and bringing some sweets home. After 5 years gluten free I tasted my first gf iced sugar cookie and it was worth the wait! 💕
Nice to know you can order anything off the menu without worries. Many things made or available dairy free. Call ahead because they had different “summer hours” that were only posted on the door (not online or on answering machine) We had to wait an hour for them to open. Cupcakes were a touch expensive for their size but were delicious and I’d buy more if I had the chance. They were moist and the frosting was superb. Probably the best cupcake I’ve had in a while. Meals were hit or miss. Waffle was excellent- crispy and fluffy. French toast was a bit dry. Fried mozzarella was excellent (although I don’t think it was mozz I think it was Colby jack), served with a very good, warm, marinara sauce. Chicken tenders were good but a bit too large in our opinion and that took away from the goodness. Fries that came with the tenders looked a little over done but were excellent.
Went for breakfast on a long weekend. Very disappointed. I had the French toast. Bread was very dry! Hash browns tasted like they had been fried in old fat. Too bad as it is a dedicated gf facility
Great restaurant for GF or other allergies Great food and friendly / family atmosphere
A dedicated gluten free restaurant. The waffles are delicious! A great find for our family that has celiac’s disease.
Food was quite good. Service was so slow. We were one of two families in the restaurant it took over 30 mins to get our food. Food was greasy
the best gluten free I've ever had!! I'm from an area where we have no gf places, and I travel a lot so I've tried many different bakeries and restaurants, but this one is by far the best I've ever been to. 10/10 recommend!!! the owner is super friendly and wonderful to talk to.
Eating here brings me back to eating at the local diner before I was diagnosed with celiac. I don't feel like I'm missing out, and many of my non-celiac friends also love the food here.
I wouldn't recommend, place was kinda dirty, only one employee (nice and he was trying) but food wasn't as great as I'd hoped
Yum Yums used to be my favorite place to go. Unfortunately the last 3 times I went my food was either burnt or under cooked. The owners were very involved when the business first opened & now they are never here. It is lunch time on a Friday & the only person who is here is the baker. He is trying to bake, cook, wait on customers at the counter & wait on tables. Ridiculous!!! The booths are always sticky & don't seemed to get cleaned often. Also the last time I came I bought 6 cupcakes at $3.00 a pop & they were stale & dry. I ate a part of one & then threw away the remaining 5. So $18.00 went in the garbage can. This makes me really sad because I used to love this place so much. In my opinion if the owners don't get more involved this place will go out of business. You can't expect young kids who have no experience with Celiacs to run your business.
The food was great and the cupcakes were wonderful. Only a few minutes from our college visit to LeMoyne.
Breakfast sandwiches and hashbrowns were delicious and the portions were very generous! We also got some cupcakes to go which were amazing, especially the peanut butter cup and blueberry vanilla. Will definitely be returning soon!
We came from 2 hours away to eat some good GF food. However, the waitress was so rude. She implied my older sister looks younger than me (19) and then proceeded to ask if her boyfriend was our father. Safe to say we will never come back and will take our business to a place with manners!
Disappointed. I'd been here once before with my sister and it was why I'd come back. They don't offer as much variety as I would hope for a GF business, even just in their cupcakes. Pizza is on point for taste, but I've found a store bought GF brand (Against The Grain) that no other pizza crust has stood up to since for fluffiness. For going out though, this was good. The mozzarella bites were however PHENOMENAL and the only place I have been able to order them. I added an extra star just for these.
Awesome food, totally gluten free facility, and friendly family owners! Try the pizza!
This used to be my favorite place to go eat. The last 5 times I have been there to eat it's been horrible. The service is slow and their food was not up to par like it was in the past. The portions are small. I was there last week and ordered the sampler platter and vegetable lasagna, they brought out the platter the chicken wings were so crispy there was no meat on there, then they brought my meal out and it wasn't the vegetable lasagna it was quiche. The waiter said I don't normally take orders I am just the helper. Needless to say I canceled my lasagna order. I have been craving their cannoli's so my husband ordered me some today got them home and they were hard couldn't even bite into them and the filling was not fresh. He called to talk to the owner Mark left message no call back so my husband called back and owners were gone. Very sad this place is going down hill.
Absolutely the most amazing gluten free place I have ever been. I have traveled around the entire U.S. and this place tops everywhere I have been previously!!!
I love this place. As a person with Celiacs, it is difficult to find quality and gluten free. This place is both. Great food, great service and great prices. I go here every time I am in Syracuse. Jerry O'Connor Buffalo, NY
A must try for Gluten free peeps! My gluten eater husband even loved it. Lots of great choices and the bakery items are fantastic!!!! Completely gluten free so no worries about being glistened. We need more places like this!
Excellent restaurant and bakery
Cupcakes are worth getting diabetes for!
the food here is fantastic.
Great celiac friendly location! The chef was so knowledgeable. I also have a soy allergy and the oil used in all of their menu is a soy, corn, canola blend. Womp! Couldn't eat here, however, they were very honest and thorough about their menu and tried their best to come up with options.
Fantastic! so much more than just a bakery. They have sandwiches submarines Heroes paninis Pizza Burgers too. Lots of great things to eat. Plus yummy cupcakes and baked goods. a must try.!!
Absolutely Awesome - totally GF, delicious, decent prices, nice owners !!!
Amazing. They truly know what they're doing as the owner has celiac. Outside food isn't allowed inside due to cross contamination risk factors. Absolutely amazing.
Wonderful to be on vacation and find such a treasure! Excellent quality food and deserts! Will absolutely stop here again ! They even delivered to my hotel!
This place is awesome! Awesome staff, awesome food. Nothing but gluten free food is allowed in this place. Super safe!
Excellent food and desserts. Such a treat to safely enjoy a meal with no worries of getting sick!!
I travel for business so I can definitely say I have sampled many GF pizzas in my days. Yum-Yum was the most amazing. They perfected the crust so it is light , airy and chewy. They offer a dairy free cheese also. Their website let's you order pizza shells to be shipped. I will definitely be ordering some to take home with me and will have more shipped. They are worth every penny.
Delicious food, great atmosphere!
The wood-fired pizza is amazing, and priced well too! We have visited Yum-Yum's sporadically since it was just the owner selling at a farmer's market. The food has improved over the years and the selection has definitely improved. I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars only because the service can be spotty. The owner herself is kind of stand offish at best. But our visit today was wonderful.
Very good place to come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 100% gf so enjoy with no worries. I had a pumpkin cake roll that was to die for. I'll have to come back and try the pizza.
Great service, wide range 100% gluten free menu! Great tasting food & baked goods!
Best Gluten Free dinner I have had in 3 years. Great service, delicious food, good value! Highly recommend and will return when I am visiting the area again.
100% gf dinner... we had onion rings, pancakes, meatball subs, etc. food was good. service was great. they can also do dairy free options.
Awesome food, and dairy free options abound as well!
The food here is really great and everything is safe. I docked a star for service because it is slow. However, I would still highly recommend it. My family, who does not need to eat GF even liked it.
A gluten-free wonderland! I had a fried sampler with chicken fingers, wings, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings as well as a meatball sub sandwich. The best part was not having to ask ANY questions! Everything on the menu is safe.
Amazing!!!!!! What a great find!
I had coffee, pancakes, bacon and eggs -wonderful.
Food is very good and the piazza was the best gf I have ever had
Great menu selections! I had a Philly cheese steak wrap with fries. Delicious! Great desserts too. I had a chocolate eclair and my friend had apple spice cake. Both were exceptional! It's nice to have a dedicated gf restaurant in my area.
Wonderful food, but service and general experience is atrocious. No idea whether it's a sit down or order-at-the-counter type of place. Prices seem to be whatever the person feels like charging that day. Unfortunate since they food is quite good.
Many hits and misses, but I love the place anyway. Hoping for faster service at the new location.
Dedicated gluten-free bakery and cafe, with many dairy-free options as well. Smaller menu selection currently due to their relocation but still a lot of amazing meal choices and great service. Prices are fantastic too! Can't wait to go back
Wonderful dedicated gluten free place. They supply desserts and pastries to many Syracuse restaurants. They are relocating to a bigger site in August.
We love it at Yum Yum's! It's the ONLY place we can eat and not worry about cross contamination. The food is so good, I don't feel deprived at all. Our whole group ( not GF) thoroughly enjoy it too. The owners are wonderful people who go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. Heading there right now :-)
