Staff is so nice and very gluten knowledgeable.
The only things with gluten are the masago (eggs), seaweed salad, white rice (has sushi vinegar), and the Korean spicy sauce. Everything else is GF.
Delicious and I didn’t get sick!
The spicy tuna and spicy salmon pair really well with the sriracha aioli.
This is one of my favorite "safe" places to eat in Bentonville. You walk up and order. They have everything to make a sushi bowl in separate bowls. You tell them what you want and tell them you are GF and they will give you GF options for sauces. I love it because the bowls are customized to what I want and I've never gotten sick after eating there. I typically get salmon on rice with onion, seaweed salad, cucumber, nd avocado. Ingredients are always fresh.
I was told on the phone that the only thing with gluten was the spicy Korean sauce, otherwise all gf. My husband looked up the menu of the ft smith location and noticed a bunch more things that were listed as having gluten.
Arriving at the restaurant, I was assured once again that the spicy Korean sauce was the only gluten-containing item on offer. I mentioned that the ft smith location had other things listed, and they admitted that there were other items containing gluten, though the employees were not well versed in what those things were. As far as I can tell, celiacs should avoid the masago, anything with crab, seaweed salad, spicy tuna (contains masago), crispy onions, and tempura flakes, in addition to the spicy Korean sauce. Though each topping has its own utensil, there is a potential for cross-contamination in the prep area. I steered clear of the sesame seeds and cashews because they were next to the tempura flakes.
My poke bowl was so awesome! And I did not get sick. I will try this place again, though there’s a possibility I won’t get so lucky the next time. Hopefully they will improve with feedback.
