Really wanted to like this place but got told after eating the salsa, with the server knowing I was allergic to gluten because I told her, that there was flour in the salsa. I appreciate that she came back to inform me, that was kind of her, but it made me lose my confidence in ever eating there again. This was a while back, so maybe things have changed by this point.
We were at this establishment for a memorial service in their banquet room. My grandmother in law was a devoted patron and friend of the owners, and they graciously hosted her memorial service for friends and family. As a celiac, I didn’t plan on eating there as it was a catered lunch and I assumed nothing would be available for me to eat. But I asked one of the staff if they had a dedicated fryer to the chips, and she indicated that they did. So I scooped some chips and salsa, and I Nima tested them for extra peace of mind. Sure enough, they were gf! What a lovely moment to feel included with the rest of the bunch! I wasn’t expecting it, and we were just happy to attend, but it feels so lovely when you can participate safely in a shared meal with loved ones too.
I didn’t try anything else, and I have no idea about their menus, etc. But I can guarantee that their chips and salsa are safe and delicious!
