I didn't even get to give them a try. I got in touch with them to see if they could accommodate a gluten allergy or celiac and they said no, that everything they make is cut on the same board and that includes flour tortillas and bread. I appreciate the honesty as they don't want to get anyone sick.....I guess I just don't understand why they couldn't have a second cutting board....oh well. I hope those who have a less severe reaction than I do to cross contaminated foods can enjoy it as I have heard amazing things!!!!
An amazing hole in the wall establishment with some of the best BBQ in Texas. The ribs are the best I’ve had in DFW, and the hominy is amazing. The menu isn’t labeled, but most of it is gluten free. They couldn’t vouch for all the spices used, but when I checked the labels they looked 100% gluten free. Bonnie, the owner and wife of the pit master, went out of her way to look after me and make sure she went into detail about all the food and how it was made. She even insisted her staff change gloves and get out a new cutting board, just to be safe. I highly enjoyed myself and felt entirely safe!
