Review of ZEGGZ Amazing Eggs

While the restaurant had gluten free pancakes, waffles and bread there were no dedicated toasters, griddles or waffle irons. Our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable but was willing to check with the kitchen. Was a little disappointed after seeing positive reviews. The food we did order was just okay and we arrived when the place only had a handfull of diners. I ordered the Picoso Omelet with a side of sausage patties - an outstanding display and great flavors with an omelet that could use a little salt. My wife ordered the gluten free version of the Zeggz Classic with a side of grits. We had to remind the waitress about the fruit cup and realized afterwards that they never brought the breakfast potatoes. Even though we weren't charged for the side of grits, they were bland and not something I would have expected from a higher end breakfast place.

While I was glad to see more gluten free options in Louisville, the lack of safe food preparation practices is unacceptable for the upcharge. Good thing my wife brought the Glutenease. I cannot recommend this restaurant for people with Celiac or issues with gluten.
