Delicious food. The waiter was able to walk me through the menu. Gluten free items are printed in blue. He said the fries are made in a dedicated fryer.

Not the best Greek in Astoria but pretty good and very friendly service. Comfortable tables with no rush. Staff is knowledgeable about gluten.

It’s hard to rate this unsafe, because the people I was eating with didn’t understand gluten free and wanted everyone to order shared plates. But the waiter (ans manager/owner) understood I had an allergy. They prepared everything that came out for the table in gluten free ways and alerted me of each dish that was brought to the table. But somewhere along the way, I def got glutened. Not sure how as there were many dishes but cross contamination of some sorts was the issue. The server and owner did seem knowledgeable and they did have a separate GF menu so this could have been a rare problem.

Not the experience I expected, based on reviews below. The food was ok-good, but not great. Had a small reaction, but not 100% sure they were to blame.
I had a really nice meal here. The staff took my celiac situation seriously and kept me totally safe. They understood cross contamination. Definitely gonna go back.

First time eating out since being diagnosed with celiac disease and I was super nervous. Staff was knowledgeable about what was safe (they also have a separate GF menu) and made sure to tell the chef and other waitstaff delivering dishes. I had some great seafood and didn’t get sick!

They know about gluten free to an extent, but I had an attack because they labeled the calamari salad as gluten free but it has imitation crabmeat in it. So whoever "knows" about gluten should do a little research. I ate everything but wound up having an attack instantly cause of the crabmeat. However the food is good and I will be back. Just not for the calamari salad.
They totally get celiac! Go often and never have an issue!

Absolutely delicious!! The waitress was not very knowledgeable about gluten (told me the meatballs were GF) but a woman in the back (owner maybe?) came out and was extremely knowledgeable about the food and cross-contamination.

very knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. friendly staff, good food
I have celiac and I live in Astoria. I would marry this restaurant if I could figure out how. Not only is this the best Greek food I have ever had and not only have I brought every single friend I have who's visited me in Astoria to this restaurant but I have never gotten sick nor has the wait staff ever made me feel like the potential to get sick was there. They are very careful and the kitchen takes gluten free very seriously I love this place!!!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant just based on the food alone but also bc of their allergen awareness. I am gluten free and vegan so I always worry about eating out but the family running this restaurant was just so welcoming and helpful with options. There were so many naturally vegan and gluten free choices that it was easy to eat there. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable and the people are friendly.
