Review of Zephyr Grill & Bar

Went here twice. They have the gluten-free dishes marked on the menu, but it's unclear if those dishes are gluten-free as is or if adjustments need to be made. The first time, I ordered the butternut squash soup and the summer special crab tower. Both were delicious, service was great. The second time I ordered the same soup and the summer special California backyard bbq. The soup was lukewarm. When I asked the server to make a note that I was gluten free, even though those dishes were both marked as such, she didn't seem to get why. Then they served my steak with the bbq sauce on the side and told me they didn't know if the sauce was gf because the chef wasn't in. What???? Then she came back and said she didn't think it was gf, so I had her take it away. Overall the service was slow and uninformed. And the food was unimpressive on that second visit.
