Amazing. Hands down the best gluten free restaurant/bar I have ever been to. Literally everything is gluten-free. Note: Utah liquor laws require 21years of age to even come in the restaurant.
Stayed at a hotel around the corner, and wish I was in town longer, because I really wanted to try their Irish stew. Had sushi and an awesome salad, and came back a second time for their amazing carrot cake. I have a ton of food allergies, and it was great to not have to worry when I went out to eat. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious, unique food! It was so nice to be able to eat in a place where all of the food is GF. My husband and I were very impressed with the food, even though we're not vegetarian/vegan and he doesn't have to eat GF. Service was great too!
Awesome experience! The food is amazing and 100% GF!
Love! Love! Love! This is the only restaurant in Utah where I can order anything off the menu and I don’t have to ask one question about what is in it. The whole place is 100% gluten free. There is no soy and no dairy in the whole place. The food is fresh, clever and delicious. Brunch is so fun with fresh squeezed juice mimosas. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about nightshades, but allergies, modifications on the menu. 😍
So interesting. The middle aged hostess was rude and full of attitude. We were greeted by our waiter then a different waiter approached while my wife was in the restroom and seemed irritated that I wasn’t ready to order for both of us. The food is flavorless and expensive don’t bother with the berry lavender lemonade it’s also flavorless. My wife had the Mac n cheese skillet , took 4 bites and quit, it was horrible and largely flavorless. Don’t waste your time here pick anywhere else.
Amazing! As a plant based celiac, I am in heaven!! The nachos were so flavorful, and the BBQ Jackfruit sandwich was the best I have ever had. Our server was outstanding, he offered honest opinions and helped us order the best meal! I cannot say enough about my experience dining here!
Picking a Celiac friendly restaurant can be a crap shoot sometimes. Not here. My wife and her two children all have Celiac. I'm don't. We've eaten here many times and never even a hint of a problem (my wife is super-ultra sensitive). The food is excellent. Between the 4 of us, we've tried almost everything on the menu. No one has ever complained about any appetizer, entrée, or dessert. The atmosphere is always chill; the service is always great; the food is always excellent, even for a bread eatin' carnivore.
Entirely GF and vegetarian. Yes, entirely. So, super safe. Creative food!
Entirely gluten free, kinda fancy and hip place. We went with a group and got to have a family-style meal (our choice, to taste more things, and something we can’t usually do with gluten-eaters). They do use a lot of citrus zest and cilantro in their seasonings, so if you like those, cool. If not, there are options for other tastes as well, just ask the server for advice. The beet soup was phenomenal, as was the cheesy zucchini flatbread. They also have a great loyalty program and they give (generous discount code) birthday presents!
Fantastic all around!! Great menu, everything GF!
Entirely gluten free. There are a few things where the vegan variant didn’t entice me to want to order it, but I enjoyed the appetizer I split and the meal I ordered, and it was a great meal close to the airport.
100% gluten free and the food never disappoints!
Yes their food is gluten free, but it's also primarily vegan. For a celiac who likes to make the most of all the foods I CAN eat, I did not enjoy the food here. Somehow they even managed to make the tomato soup taste very, very vegan.
The raw manicotti was amazing! Fantastic 100% gluten-free menu! Delicious! Will definitely come back.
Gluten free heaven!
This is a dedicated gluten free business, but also mostly vegan. I had the Zucchini Mac (zucchini instead of noodles- like Mac and cheese) with added (real) cheese on top and it was pretty good. I also followed it with a gluten free carrot cake that was pretty rich, but really good. I recommend the lavender lemonade- very refreshing. :)
Best restaurant for gluten free, vegan, and honestly any food in all of salt lake county! Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner!!
Great looking menu but it is 21+ only, so I got a greens smoothie to go since I had my kids with me.
wonderful, friendly staff not only able, but eager to accommodate my multiple allergies.
Can't say enough good things about this place! Food is excellent. Had their special for the day, soup, sandwich, appatizer, desert and even took food to go. Staff was friendly & very helpful on suggestions. Wish they had a place in the Tampa area.
Outstanding food and safe for celiacs!
Amazing food! Dedicated gluten free vegetarian restaurant with vegan options. Waiters are well versed in the menu and allergens and make accommodations as needed for nut allergies, etc., and the drinks here are AMAZING.
Best GF food I've ever had. Was here for a conference and the restaurant is very close to the convention center, so I had all my lunches and dinners here. My non GF friends really liked this place too.
Fantastic options across the board - apps, mains & desserts. Also, for those with dairy allergies, nearly everything is vegan, including desserts! Everything we ate was delicious.
Wonderful food! Celiac friendly!
delicious, healthy food. great atmosphere and service. the whole restaurant is gluten free so no worries about cross contamination. we had a wonderful dinner here!
Great food and 100% safe for celiacs, but 21 and over only! We got a to go order and ate elsewhere.
This is a dedicated gf restaurant - they even tell you it is 100% gf when you sit down. The food was great! I had the zucchini noodle dish (can't remember what it was called) and it was great. The best part was the dessert, though - the carrot cake is SO moist, and the vegan cream "cheese" frosting was awesome! I thought I'd never have good carrot cake again, but they proved me wrong. They also drizzle a lemony sauce on it and it is so good! I would have never known it was gf and vegan. They also sell local tea from The Queens' Tea - I had the coconut almond lavender tea, and it was delicious. I'm hoping to buy some before I go back home. I definitely recommend this place - my friends without food restrictions really liked it, too (and LOVED the carrot cake as much as I did). Make a reservation online before you head over and you shouldn't have to wait at all.
This place is VERY safe for the sensitive-tummied Celiac. Try the curry!
Delightful! Went for late lunch and for the first time I could order anything on the menu (except for a few non-gluten free beers but they had many gf ones!) My food was wonderfully flavored and filling. Would definitely return regularly if I loved here. I had grilled cheese with veggies in it and a wonderful veggie soup. Bread was like a pizza crust so the sandwich was super filling. Ginger spice cocktail and carrot cake a must have!
Super glad dedicated places exist. This place is very slow with utterly disappointing food. It feels like the niche of gf and vegetarian means they can get away with bad food.
We first found out about this restaurant at the Gluten Free Expo. and have been wanting to try it.. So, last night we tried it and I'm upset we waited so long to go there.. The staff was very friendly.. The food was amazing so many different flavors that go well together. We had appetizers, main dishes, desserts, & drinks.. All of it was so very good! Can't wait to go back.. I will defiantly be recommending this place to everyone I know!!!
Absolutely Wonderful! A must whether or not you have allergies. So creative and delicious.
The restaurant is gluten free and has lots of dairy free options. The staff was very helpful and the food was amazingly good. We had the brussel sprouts appetizer and the hearty dinner meal. It was a nice environment for us to have dinner.
Delicious and completely gluten free. I'm usually not a fan of vegan cheese or dairy substitutes, but I've loved all of their stuff so far!
I wish I could give this place ten stars! You have to go to this place if you are anywhere near! We were driving through on a cross country trip and were already excited to just find a dedicated gluten free place. The food was out of this world amazing! We both got grilled "cheese" (daiya) flatbreads with tomato curry soup and carrot cake. All vegan and corn free too! Almost the entire menu is also corn free and vegan. They also cook with coconut oil! Great quality produce and the grilled cheese was the best I've ever had. Carrot cake was super moist and the cream cheese frosting was perfect! Huge portions too. Very friendly service, really nice ambience, food network worthy plate presentation and great selection of fresh juices and alcoholic drinks. I would plan a trip back to SLC just to come here in all seriousness. I wish they would come to the Bay Area!
100% gluten-free HEALTHY menu-√ gluten-free beers-√ gluten-free in-house made desserts-√ fun hip environment-√ classiest veg place in town-√ heck yes zest!
Amazing food!! Got the cheese bread as an appetizer, thai sunrise, pomodoro, and carrot cake for dessert. Absolutely delicious. It felt a little heavy for a lunch but was worth it. I'm not 21 so I couldn't eat inside but they happily packed my food to go. Friendly service, wonderful taste. (Also, they do cook with vegan cheese if you request it)
Amazing food, drinks and desserts. I love the friendly, helpful people.
LOVE this place. Grilled cheese and soup was yummy. Followed up with incredible carrot cake.
Service was amazing! Food was amazing! I had to go back again because there were so many options I wanted to try. I went for lunch but could see this as a really nice place to hangout at night. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The price was well under, I think, for the quality of food.
Great gf restaurant! Fabulous food and service.
So, so good! I've been several times now and everything is delicious. It is so nice not to have to worry about cross-contamination. Don't pass up dessert! I have had the carrot cake and the goat cheese tart. I have been back several times just for the goat cheese tart.
Agree with Catlion! I thought price was reasonable due to specialty products.
Funky little joint just out of a seedy part of town. Vegetarian with vegan options and really nice GF menu. I had the eggplant parm with pasta -- absolutely delish! GF carrot cake from City Cakes rounded out a perfect meal. A bit pricy IMO, but totally worth it for the fine quality of food and atmosphere.
Can you imagine going into a restaurant that is completely gluten-free, where you don't have to worry about what's on the menu? That is the happy experience that dining that Zest offers. I must have asked our server three times about items on the menus really being gluten-free because I was in disbelief. :) The food and drink selections are fantastic. I had the baked zucchini and cheese as well as the black bean and chia sees sliders. Everything was good, although I wished there were salt and pepper shakers on the table in case I wanted a little of either. The service was great and I'm definitely going back!
Absolutely love this restaurant! Amazing food, fun atmosphere, super staff and owner! I will be back!
Loved it!!!! Cheesy bread bites are AMAZING, everything our group ate was awesome, and get dessert!!! YUM
Great gluten free vegan restaurant and bar. The carrot cake is the best gf cake I've eaten! Everything we've tried has been excellent.
