Got sick after eating the GF fried chicken dinner

Their menu listed malted gluten free waffles...??? Food was good, but I still question whether the food is truly celiac safe and if the staff know what they are talking about. We were there for brunch and there are fewer options than the regular dinner menu.

My wife has a bad gluten allergy, but they are very conscientious here. She had no reaction to the food. Great place!

I was really disappointed when I got here. I had been looking forward to the gluten free fried chicken, which is a rarity, but it was not celiac safe. As it turns out, they do have a dedicated fryer but the hostess talked to the kitchen who said that sometimes the fryer ‘gets contaminated’ and that people have done the Nima sensor tests on the chicken and it has shown that it contains gluten. Unfortunately not celiac safe :( also had a wait of 30 mins

I went there as my first time meeting out since diagnosed with Celiacs. my waiter was very attentive and interested and making sure I got the food I needed. Everything was great until he told me they scraped the grill really well. I had already eating my dinner. So while the food was delicious beware to make sure they cook the food without cross contamination.

Excellent!! Had fried chicken, fries, mashed potatoes and BBQ pork. Dedicated fryer - but you clearly need to order gf.

I ordered the pulled pork dinner as a carry out and stated it had to be gluten free. I was assured the selection was fine. It was over $20 for one meal AND I had a reaction within 3 hours.

Consistently amazing, over the top stellar food and service. Waitress Aya was fantastic, friendly and made my celiac daughter feel reassured with her steak and potatoes. Gave her two containers of extra mashed potatoes to take home with her leftover steak, and also some prepackaged brownies. "Townie Brownies" are GF (also gave us two other varieties, non GF).

As a GF (Celiac) vegetarian, I never know what I am going to get. What I've gotten here? AMAZING. GF mac and cheese to die for (best I've ever had, and top 5 mac and cheeses EVER), dedicated fryer sweet potato fries, cheesy grits. VERY knowledgeable staff who asked questions when they didn't know, and knew most of the answers to start. Definitely make a reservation!

SO GOOD. when i ordered my sandwich to be gluten free the person taking my order immediately went and got another worker who hand-wrote my order with my allergy, very thorough with the ordering plus the gluten free bread was probably the best gf bread i've had in my life. and they have gluten free brownies :)))

Can't say enough good things about this place! Had a gf toasted sandwich it was delicious. The manager even came out and reassumed me that everything would be gf. explained how they would make sure my order would be prepared and cooked separately. All staff were friendly and helpful.

This is really expensive. However, it might be worth it if you get the gluten-free fried chicken - GF fried chicken is almost impossible to find when eating out, and Zingerman's is pretty good.

I haven't had gluten free fried chicken in years! They have dedicated fryers for the chicken, fries, etc. Amazing food! Our server Brian was also amazing!

What a find! Lots of GF options and a knowledgeable service team. We went at a very busy time on graduation weekend but it was worth the wait. GF waffles! The sausage was delicious as well. Will be making the hour drive from Toledo as much as we can!

If you like overpriced, small portions and mediocre food, then this is the place for you. Do not mistake this for the original Zingermann

Awesome! I had the chili and hand cut frys and both were delicious!! Basically everything had dairy in it, even the eggs, so that limited my selection; be sure to ask if you have a dairy issue as well. We went at brunch time on a Sunday and they still accommodated me no problem even with a line out the door. I wish I lived in MI so I could go back. I will have dreams about the chili.

4.5 stars. Friendly. Overall, well marked menu. Appears to have seasonal menu along with staples which is a great balance. They accommodated my desire for a goat cheese grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomato (not officially on the menu). I'm used to using hard cheese for mine at home but they gave it their all and it hit the spot. $3 for GF bread is over the top though. I've never paid more than $2 even in major cities.

With a gluten free waffle (studded with bacon!), it's my favorite place hands down for breakfast/brunch. Really any meal is good there! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. you can ask them where you food was grown/raised, and they actually know! A lot of their food is grown/raised on a farm 60 miles away.

Best variety of GF items we've seen. Food is great and the service makes u feel at home. We ordered a GF pork soup and pork BBQ platter with ff and greens..... Excellent and great for 2 people (we eat lighter than most) did not finish our food. Highly recommend since we went to Weber's and they told us could not find GF dinner menu.

UNBELIEVEABLY delicious, good food. Gluten free bread with your meal. Recommend highly the gf sweet potato fries, the gf pimiento cheese spread on celery, the gf/vegetarian grits, the gf seasonal heirloom sliced tomatoes (melt in your mouth) and the gf fried chicken. Very accommodating and friendly staff for gf/celiac customers. So many delicious gf options!! They'll custom make any dish for you to accommodate your good allergies and/or needs. Really a great experience.

It has been 4 years since I have had fried chicken and good, soft bread, since I am celiac and have to eat gluten free. I had a little piece of heaven at this place tonight!! I highly recommend this restaurant! They were GF knowledgeable and the service was exceptional!! I only wish they had another restaurant --in North Carolina!!

The gluten free bread they put your sandwich on was crumbly, but the food was so delicious that I'll forgive it ;) Will definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area!
