Great place for heathy gluten free fare. All of the salads and bowls are.gluten free. The salads are large and filling.

Lots of choices for rice bowls. Most of their pre-made bowls have pita chips, but just ask them to not add that or build your own. That also have salad rolls and soup. All of their dressings (except 1), and all of their protein (except 1) are gluten free so it's easy to build your own bowl. They even have gluten free falafel! Quick friendly service.

This location and staff are pretty accommodating. I use the allergen information online to determine what to order and ask them to change gloves and use parchment paper when heating up the chicken. I have always felt fine after and the staff recently are very kind and helpful.

Healthy delicious GF food. The staff made me feel like she was 100% aware of Gf meals and prepared mine separately. Lots of GF options and well marked on menu.

We ordered the Goddess Bowl and the Mediterranean Bowl which were adapted to be gluten and dairy free. They prepared our meals in the back to lessen the risk of cross contact.

The guy taking my order seemed to have good understanding of allergies/risks and there was a button on the register to add an allergy warning to the order ticket which was cool. The guy who then went to make my bowl had no allergy awareness and had to be told by other staff how to make it separate from the line. I also asked for no dressing as their website says all the dressings may contain gluten but he still put some dressing in the bowl. They stick their hands into the lettuce and other toppings instead of using tongs/utensils which increases cross contamination risk substantially. I will not eat here again as it’s too risky.

Not recommended, the staff here said there might be "a little" gluten on their items (it's labelled gluten friendly instead of gluten free) due to cross contamination

Said “gluten free, celiac. Gluten allergy.” (Just to be extra clear.) Was met with a blank stare. I said, “so no pita chip.” That part was entered in on the computer. The person who took my order did not tell the person preparing the meal anything. No switched gloves even after handling a wheat wrap right before my bowl. Seems no knowledge of allergies or celiac here at all.

This place took special care to wipe down everything and glove up. They even made sure they took my fork from an unopened container. The food was amazing. New favourite takeout!

Oct/22: I ordered the same as below (previous visit) and when I got home, my salad had rice (shouldn't have) and had a random bean. Not impressed.
I had the Sunshine salad with falafels. Really good! But it was pretty expensive for what you got. I'd still eat there again for a quick meal.

Not safe for Celiac's. Cross contamination does occur. I have seen the staff touch my food after handling products with gluten in them.

My go-to is the starter size Pegasus salad with no pita chips. There is still a CC risk—I didn’t find that saying “celiac” or “gluten free” resonated well with the staff, so now I say it’s a “wheat allergy” and that seems to work better. The GF Pikanik cookies (individually wrapped) are a nice treat, too!

The Chopped Leaf has lots of bowls and salads that are gluten friendly. Their website clearly indicates gf options. At the check out the even had gluten free cookies (pre-packaged - not made on-site) - oatmeal chocolate chip, ginger and lemon tea.

Great healthy menu available. An ok selection of GF options but I ordered a power bowl and the menu lists GF without Pita chip but my instructions were no pita chip and celiac but my food came with the pita chip.

If you love amazing salads or bowls that can be made to order, this franchise location is really great. I have been to many other locations and every one has been excellent, actually. They are cautious with their prep, taking all the precautions they need to. It’s a great place for lunch but I always often order their from their menu for a lighter dinner as well. They do a great job of not only feeding me but my family enjoys it too. You can order online and pick up. This works great especially now with the in-restaurant restrictions in place. I should mention that I love the chopped water too!

I ordered through skip the dishes and made it very clear I didn’t want seasoning or pita chips with my order. When it arrived my whole bowl was mixed with pita chips and the taco seasoning. I couldn’t even eat it when my dad called and asked why they did that, he got “we are busy and don’t have time to read all dietary requests”

The Chopped Leaf has plenty of GF menu items and many others can be adapted. The manager was very friendly and informed me of precautions they take for celiacs, including using different equipment and laying down foil in the ovens. She also told me she has regular celiac customers who report no reactions.
I had a delicious bowl and felt good afterwards. It was balanced, well portioned, and reasonably priced. I'm so glad this place made its way to good ol' KW. Its now my go-to healthy fast food joint.

They are very knowledgeable about allergens. I have massive allergies to gluten, dairy and eggs and this is the only place I can eat at without getting sick. Salad rolls & build your own rice bowls are fantastic!
You can watch them make your food and customize to your liking. Their menu with all allergens is listed online!
Great option. Honestly, when eating out, I feel better eating their wraps (gluten free options) and salads than almost any other restaurant food!

Consistently knowledgeable and no concerns in 10+ visits.

Dedicated gluten-free prep and cook area!! Just let staff know - they’re amazing and VERY knowledgeable about Celiac disease. I’m super sensitive to cross-contamination, and have never gotten sick eating here. Fresh and flavourful, and filling! Highly recommend!

Great GF options, explained I'm Celiac and they treated my allergy seriously. Changed gloves in the prep area and prepared my meal separately. Highly recommend!

Was pleasantly surprised when they knew what to do when I told them I was celiac. They changed gloves and used microwave instead of grill for my chicken.

the can alter anything on menu to be gf. vegan friendly too.

Healthy, fresh, most of the menu is gf or can be made that way. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the woman who helped us has Celiac, which made me feel super comfortable. My new favorite place in Federal Way!
Amazing foods, their motto is “Feel good after you eat” and you really do, so happy to have options like this around!
So delicious! Tons of options & staff is knowledgeable. Do specify that you have celiac disease/gluten allergy and they will make a note of it and change gloves/take precautions to avoid cc. Most items can be modified to be gf (aside from wraps/sandwiches)! One of my fav spots for a quick meal!

Good customer service over the phone when asked about the menu and prices. We went over a lot and the lady was super helpful! buuuut..I have yet to try.

Had a gluten free whole bowl today (minus the pita chips and added chickpeas). Was told it would just be a few minutes as they prepare it in the back on a separate surface!!! Yay!! It was very good.

If you have a gluten intolerance or celiac, this is the place. They will switch out gloves, wipe down everything, grab new serving utensils, everything. My fiancé has never had an issue here.
