Wait staff very knowledgeable. Dinner was amazing! I would highly recommend to anyone with Celiac disease.

We had a phenomenal experience here. The server was very knowledgeable about what was/wasn’t gf and went to ask questions if she didn’t know the answer. The manager brought out my gf app, meal and dessert. Excellent customer service from beginning to end. We will definitely be back!

I have been going to this establishment for years. Today, however my Father and I both had a reaction to either their mash potatoes or Bernasie Sauce or some sort of cross contamination. When we brought up that I had a reaction (as mine are almost immediate) the server, Megan was dismissive, saying there is no gluten in our food and did not go back to check with the chef. Additionally, the menu states, that the fries are gluten-free, however, we learned that it is not gluten-free, as it is not a separate fryer. So just be mindful of that.

Gluten Friendly Menu is ridiculous! There's gluten in 3/4's of the items. Manager supposed to stop by table to review your order b4 it's placed. Manager never stopped by. However, if u hv a good server, they'll keep u safe. We ate the grilled chicken salad, sirloin, & sautéed mushrooms as a side, wasabi mashed potatoes r also safe. We didn't get " glutened" at all & all of our food was excellent. Use your judgement w/ this place. Pricey!

server was very knowledgeable about what i could and couldn’t have and even warned me about the fries cross contamination in fryers not being safe. even though she was confident in her answers she went back to double check everything with the chef to make sure she was right (she insisted on doing it, i didn’t even ask)!

Gf items marked, but also able to modify non- marked items to be gf- eg. Shrimp, mussels, by subbing gf bread. No dedicated fryer

Excellent. Their menu has items labelled ‘gluten conscious’ (so not to guarantee cross contamination I assume). BUT the server was so knowledgeable AND he even came back after I ordered to say that the chef won’t put chickpeas in my dish because those are cooked on the same surface as other foods. Dessert was great too.

Chop is a chain restaurant and has their gluten free items clearly marked on their menu. They even have a gluten free dessert, in addition to steaks and salads.

I had the steak Oscar with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. Very good. Our waitress doubled checked everything with the kitchen. The manager came out to let me know they would steam my veggies as opposed to sauté to decrease possible cross contamination. They even had a gluten free beer on the menu which I had with Clamato and it was really good!

There are not a ton of GF options. I had lunch here and ate the chicken avocado blt with a side salad. The GF bread sometimes comes out too toasted and sometimes it is perfect. It is delicious and filling. I have never gotten glutened from eating here.

The manager came to review my order and my intolerances. This hasn’t happened everytime so I would recommend asking for a manager when you order.
I learned my third time there is flour in the garlic butter so it’s always good to ask the million questions!
Otherwise, I felt safe eating here and will come back.

I’m celiac as well as dairy intolerant. My server checked with the chef to see what sides they could offer me with my steak. When delivering my meal they made sure to let me know that they took special care preparing my meal. My meal was delicious and I wasn’t glutened. I will definitely go back.

The server went through the menu with me and informed me what was GF and what items were not. They had delicious GF bread. They were well informed of celiac and took all precautions. Food was excellent!

I had dinner there for the first time on September 3, ‘22. Outstanding food! The server was extremely knowledgable about gluten-free and cross-contamination. The manager brings out the gluten-free order personally. I had amazing ribs with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. You could also have a choice between several cuts of steak, shrimp and lobster. They have soup that is gluten-free, but I’m not sure if that’s every day and they have a lovely greens salad with an avocado lime dressing that was so delicious and fresh. Very nice relaxing modern but warm setting. Highly recommend!!

Agree with the last review. This is a great place for celiacs. First time I’d ever been there and I think I prefer it over the keg!! Will be going there again for the mouth watering steaks + gf bun. Never been to a place that has alternatives for the starter bread.
Amazing service and very friendly! Manager came to check on my allergy for how to prepare my meal!

Two days later and I'm happy to say that I had a safe meal at Chop steakhouse ( Mississauga). Our meals were delicious. Upon booking our reservation, Stewart the manager stated he would meet me at the table and review the GF options. Sure enough, he did and he liased/ monitored my food preparation. What a relief
They have a “gluten sensitive” menu. But I found them knowledgeable staff, and I felt safe eating here
Yes
The staff was simply amazing! As soon as I told them about my allergies to gluten and dairy they asked how severe and they said they take allergies very seriously and that the manager would come by and check on me and assure with the kitchen that everything would be safe and if it wasn’t then we would find something that worked. I even enquired about ingredients in a sauce due to other restrictions and the chef came to chat with me! I had the ahi tuna and subbed the regular sides for other vegetables on the menu. It was delicious! Thank you for making my visit so enjoyable.
When the wait staff are informed of Celiac issues, the manager arrives to explain menus items that would be prepared Celiac safe. The manager follows through with the order right to delivery to the table. He also returns to make sure that the meal was satisfactory. They even serve a warm gluten free bun. I have eaten here numerous times with no issues. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff were knowledgable and gf items were clearly marked on the menu. I ordered the Sirloin Oscar and the Asst Manager came out and reviewed my order with me after speaking with the chef to make sure there were not any issues with my order. The Asst Manager then delivered my meal. The meal itself was absolutely delicious. Perfectly seasoned steak, flavourful bernaise saice, delicious shrimp, awesome veggies.

Ordered a gluten free/dairy free dish and it came with cheese on it. Aside from having to return the dish the food was good.
Chop took my allergy very seriously. The manager came over to ask specifically about my needs and what I wanted to order and then checked with the kitchen. The food came delivered by management. I ended up eating there twice. The food is pretty good, more upscale than a longhorn or Texas road house but not super fancy. Leave your dinner jacket at home.

Gluten friendly menu and careful staff

The staff is very aware of what is in their food and did what they could to accomodate us, ensuring we enjoyed our meal and not get sick. They brought me a sample of an alternative gluten free sauce for my meal to ensure i liked it before ordering.
They are fully aware of which of their dishes have gluten in it and which do not. It's a high end steakhouse so it's pricey, but I felt comfortable going there for a business dinner. Also to work there you have to be nothing short of stunning apparently.
