Has anyone in Los Angeles eaten at Urth Café? They have gluten-free items on their menu but state that they can’t guarantee there’s no cross contamination which makes me nervous. The menu looks amazing which is why I’m asking.
hdragule It’s true, they can’t guarantee it unfortunately. My experience has been they will be pretty diligent about changing gloves and cleaning the area. If you get a sandwich that’s not toasted you should probably be ok as it’s not using a shared toaster or grill. The desserts are made outside of the restaurant (but I’d confirm - that may only be the Las Vegas locations) and seem safer. I’ve had the pancakes a few times and it’s been hit or miss. When they are slower there is definitely more care but I’m certain I was cross contaminated during a busy brunch rush. 1 reply
Clown Late to this, but have you tried Honey Hi? I loved their breakfast sandwich and housemade hot sauce 1 reply
