EC_MCRider King Arthur Gluten-Free Pancake mix. Bob Red Mill also has a good pancake mix. I make my pancakes with King Arthur 1:1 Gluten Free flour with any favorite recipe. Can find recipes online from King Arthur as well. Enjoy! 1 reply

aly157496 For pancakes I personally haven’t tasted anything better than the “Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix” and for bread I think “Canyon Bakehouse” is great and the slices are big. An alternative bread is “Shär” they have a lot of great products so I highly recommend to check them out. Good luck I wish you all the best! 1 reply

Susanne77 Any gf mix you use, mix ahead of time and let sit 20 min minimum before use. Any mix upgrade the water for some type of milk, oil the same. Does not matter if vegan or not…just use the richer item for better textures in final product. I always add vanilla too. Red Bob mills and king arthur( muffin, brownie, cookie, choc cake, mixes are so good too.

maribel8434 My 8 yr old was diagnosed when she was 4. My struggle is finding a gluten free restaurant.

  • profile picture thumbnail

CrystalSC Bread..,carbonaut brand! Wholesale has it in the freezer or order online. Watch out for sugar in gf products, they put a ton of it in gf products of it

  • profile picture thumbnail

SFGF923 Bobs red mill for pancakes, I add about the same amount of club soda as milk to make them fluffy. schar for gluten free bread is the best I’ve found. 1 reply

RidgewoodCeliac King Arthur GF pancake mix is my favorite for pancakes. Canyon Bakehouse also has the best bread. I like all varieties but the frozen “mountain white” or “honey white” are the best!

Boxermomforever2 Pamela's Pancake mix. All their products are amazing! Schar bread is my favorite. If you have Aldi's grocer they carry their own gluten free bread which is similar to Schar and cheaper. It comes down to trial and error of what your child likes. Best wishes!

    diane154449 I agree

  • default profile picture thumbnail

kaylyn671 We liked canyon bake house for bread too! We ended up getting a bread maker though since gf bread is so expensive!

  • default profile picture thumbnail

tekka8067 King Arthur Gluten Free Pancakes are terrific. Key is to let the batter sit for 10 min or more before making them. Canyon House is an easy GF bread to find. Schar had good bread products as well

  • default profile picture thumbnail

nicole79767 I know you probably mean like sandwich bread, but Meijer sells a gluten free mix to make Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits that is FANTASTIC and is such a treat! You can also substitute w dairy free cheddar shreds if you’re df too and they still taste great!!

schmidtySTL Bread is so hard- honestly, most GF is terrible. Avoid Udi- it crumbles and cardboard would be an upgrade. (Most restaurants use Udi- not worth upgraded sandwich buns IMO - I just get stuff without a bun.) Closest I’ve found to regular bread are Schar and any Canyon House flavor. Rudi’s Bakehouse of Colorado (NOT Rudi like Udi) also has a good sourdough. I recommend toasting any GF bread product for a more realistic experience. It’s all pretty expensive too, so a lot of times, I’ll go for an alternative like putting sandwich fixings on Schar crispbreads that have a longer open shelf life- they’re like crunchy crackers but weirdly similar to white sandwich bread too, or roll meat and cheese together. If you need a bread alternative, GF crackers or chips can fill in. Good luck!

    lillian Simple mills

Rickgyver Trader Joe's Frozen GF Pancakes are as good, or better, than most non-GF, and even better than most GF mixes. Since they're frozen, they keep forever, and they heat up in a microwave in 90 seconds.

xrayaunie Simple Kneads sourdough breads are terrific! It is sold online. It is also free from egg, soy, and dairy. It freezes well and toasts crunchy after a few runs in the toaster. It is a bit pricey, but so worth it because of my other food intolerances. Hope this helps!
