evilyn i worked at cfa for a number of years and they’re really good about allergies! the fries and grilled chicken are cooked separately from the breaded chicken so there’s no cross contamination there. they offer gluten free buns that are prepackaged as well. the ice cream and milkshakes can be good but they’ve been hit or miss for me allergy wise. im sure you already know that you should mention your allergy so they’re aware ahead of time. hope this helped!

lindsay706 I’ve eaten at CFA many times. Worst gf bun ever. I usually eat the fries and haven’t had a rxn. 2 replies

lindsay706 Starbucks. Be careful. They take zero precautions with cross contamination. Some of the flavors are gf (vanilla syrup is safe). Stick with teas, coffee over ice, or hot drinks to avoid cross contamination from blenders. The only safe food is the Rice Krispies treats. Some places might have the gf egg bites, but I’ve never found them. 1 reply

adyn52578 i work at starbucks and have celiac! we use malt powder in the shakers and gluten containing ingredients in blenders. i’ve still drank shaken espressos and fraps and it doesn’t bother me, but if it bothers you don’t order any shaken drinks (refreshers, teas, shaken espressos) or any frappuccinos! for food there’s a marshmallow dream bar, a peanut butter perfect bar, and a chocolate chip perfect bar!

Mizchar I eat at CFA. I have not had a reaction. I get the grilled chicken bites and the fries with CFA sauce. Starbucks is hard. I stick with coffee or a non flavored cappuccino or espresso. Those seem to work for me. The few times I have asked staff about gf at Starbucks I get the deer in the headlights stare.

alice55592 Chick fil A I have good luck with grilled nuggets, waffle fries, market or southwest salads. A regular stop when a quick meal is needed.

beth2022 CFA I get the grilled nuggets and fries, Starbucks only the hot chocolate.

526F6D79 I have had reactions to Starbucks because they take no precautions against allergies. I have not been to CFA because my dad can't have peanuts. Dutch Bros is fairly good about cross contamination but I don't go there often because I don't really have a taste for it.

katelyn35534 we have done CFA and can confirm that the GF bun is horrible. I will say they put in a lot of effort to avoid cross contamination though.

CrystalCW Dutch Brothers is awesome and I know the carmelizer is safe.

kat119927 I’ve had the “gluten free” waffle fries at CFA from a “dedicated gf fryer” twice and been sick for days after both times. Starbucks also does not agree with me unless I just get something simple like an espresso shot or tea. Dutch is great! Love mocha cold brew and carmelizer

debbie5664 love love love Dutch Bros. have never had an issue with any product. It's our go to coffee place.

philmworks Skip the Chick. It's not worth the cross contamination when there are way better alternatives.

marc8181 I've look forward to the grilled chicken sandwich on a gf bun at CFA. it is delicious and I have never had a reaction.

ebboniej12 watch out for cross contamination at Starbucks..avoid blended drinks because that is where we have had issues
