Drexel likes to claim that they are accommodating towards students with allergies but they are not. There are only two cafeterias, one of which was not open when I was a freshman due to covid. My options were extremely limited. They provided a small fridge next to the salad section that had gluten free bread, bagels and blueberry muffins. There was a salad bar that was safe to eat but with limited options (and let’s be real, who wants to eat salad everyday). Sometimes they would have special meals and I would ask if they were gluten free. A lot of the time the workers did not know and I didn’t eat it but sometimes they said it was gluten free and I would believe them (although I would not recommend that if you’re celiac because I wouldn’t trust it fully). I’ve heard there are more options now that the other cafeteria is open but I haven’t been so I’m not sure how much better. It’s also extremely difficult to get out of the meal plan because they claim they have options. I know plenty of people who’ve had the same struggle and I know it’s just as bad for vegan students.
