Update: 10/18/14. They have closed. What a loss for the GF community.

If you want to eat GF food that's really bad for you but tastes oh so good, this is the place to go! Tonight I has GF Caesar salad with croutons, chicken wings, onion rings and apple crumb pie. Their GF menu is crazy. Things you never thought you could eat again like fried shrimp, hoagies, onion rings, etc. Enjoy it all just don't go on the scale the next morning.

Amazing. My favorite GF restaurant!!! Everything from pretzel bites, to fried chicken, to pizza, to amazing burgers, to onion rings, to deep eddy gf vodka!!! Dedicated fryers, knowledgeable staff, owner Alan with celiac disease that really takes food allergies seriously! Can't have enough good things to say about this restaurant.

Best gluten free food I've eaten in months. They have a separate fryer and make awesome buffalo wings. Best burgers too. Well worth the visit and comforting knowing the staff is well versed in "gluten free"

Many of the other reviewers seem to have covered all the bases with 97 Lake, but I just want to quickly add that I had a great experience here. They serve a category of food that I had largely considered to be off-limits to me, and they do it very safely and very well. I don't make it down to White Plains often, but I would absolutely go back here - this is about as celiac-friendly as you can get.

As a family with a gluten-allergies (Celiac Disease) we rarely get to go to a Sports Bar and eat pretty much whatever we'd like. And certainly never without fear of cross-contamination. We heard about "97 Lake" and were eager to try it out. Having been there, I would definitely recommend it. The owner has CD and everything on the menu is GF by default (except breaded items like sandwiches, etc., which are offered either way, so you should specify).

The sliders (cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger and pulled pork) were excellent - moist and flavorful. The french fries (regular and truffle/parmesan) were awesome. And the GF dessert options were exceptional. My wife and daughter had the wings as well as the Mac-and-Cheese. We didn't try the pizza, but will at some point. As I mentioned, everything is GF.

In addition, the area is nice. Plenty of parking and located in West Harrison, just across from a beautiful football/baseball field where they were playing little league games.

I see a few bad reviews on Yelp from 2012 - not sure what happened there, but we found the wait staff to be friendly and helpful. No complaints. We plan to go back a lot, so I'll re-post if we encounter any bad experiences. From what I saw, I wouldn't be worried.

My wife has celiacs and has been searching all over for a place like 97 Lake. Offering the best gluten free comfort food I have ever had from pretzel bites to onion rings to buffalo chicken fingers 97 Lake does not disappoint. Top it off with a gluten free chipwich and you are in comfort food heaven. From a drink perspective, if Red Bridge is too sweet for you try the Estrella. It is a perfect thirst quencher on a hot day.

This is my dad's restaurant, and all I can say is that he knows what he's doing. My sister was recently diagnosed with celiac but my dad makes sure she has fresh & healthy foods to eat. It's the same with 97 Lake, he makes sure that everything is fresh and that customers get the great meal that they came for.

The environment in the restaurant is family friendly, while adding that fun, sporty feel. I hope you win this dad.

The owner has celiac and he knows what he's doing. The menu is great ranging from salads to quesadillas to lobster rolls and Mac and cheese to burgers and wings. The service is great and Camille the manager was very knowledgable. The apple pie was delicious as well. I can't wait to come back!

Excellent food! The best GF restaurant! We were in town on business and ate at 97 Lake 3 times in 5 days - and that's only because they were closed on the two days we didn't eat there. The bread for the GF lobster roll and cheesesteak was delicious! Don't miss out on the bread pudding with ice cream!

I wish we had a 97 Lake in TX!

Alan is very, very helpful advising new celiacs like me. All of the food on the menu is gluten free (except for regular buns) and everything prepared on premises is gluten free. But, Alan even gave me helpful advice when dining out in general as well as cooking at home. Much appreciated. The food is fresh and delicious. The TVs in the main dining area are loud but the room is otherwise family friendly.

Wow! These guys have great food! The staff are educated and extremely helpful and nice. The Chocolate Lava cake...whoa! Mom (and I) loved the ribs. The portions are huge, so prepare to take leftovers home. And the prices are actually listed on the GF menu, no surprises at the end!

One word of warning: If you are using the gps and the White Plains address, it takes you to the wrong place. Keep going to the same address in WEST HARRISON, NY.

Great sports bar and great food! The menu is basically gluten free already, you just have to request gluten free buns for burgers and sandwiches. Had a great bbq pulled pork sandwich and fries and shared a plate of wings with non-celiacs. And of course they have gluten free beer! Will definitely be back.
