Review of A Lowcountry Backyard

Cute dining spot. We ate brunch here on Sunday. The gf crab dip was rich and thick, cheesy and full of delicious crab. We had the gf shrimp and grits. The portions were generous and the dish was hot, and full of perfectly cooked shrimp and creole sausage. We had a gf banana pudding. I did not care for it as it had a strong cream cheese taste rather than a whipped creme/ pudding flavor that I am used to. It was served in a mason jar (so cute), had fresh banana slices and was not overly sweet. My daughter really liked it. The host and server were attentive but not overly friendly. It was a scorcher of an afternoon hitting nearly 100 degrees when we arrived and we sat outside in the shady patio. Even though it was lovely, it was just so hot. There were other patrons there with children playing games. This place is charming, casual with an authentic atmosphere. There are lots of gf choices sited on the regular menu.
