Review of a stir

Review

I recently dined at a stir, a dedicated gluten-free restaurant in Seattle, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While some dishes like the fried cheese curds, fish and chips, and crab cakes showed promise, the overall dining experience fell short.

The salads were lackluster, lacking freshness and creativity, and the wine pairings failed to complement the meal effectively. As for desserts, the rice pudding and chocolate mousse with tahini left a literal bad taste in my mouth hours after leaving. The flavors of beans and tahini lingered unpleasantly, overshadowing any enjoyment from the meal.

While I appreciate the restaurant's mission to cater to gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diners, the execution was disappointing. Despite the mixed reviews, I had hoped for a better experience.

Moreover, the service was subpar. While the hostess was pleasant, the waitress was cold and unwelcoming, making us feel like a burden rather than valued customers. If only I could tip the hostess separately for her friendliness and attentiveness.

Overall, while this place may have its merits, the inconsistencies in food quality and lackluster service make it difficult to overlook the shortcomings.
