Unfortunately got glutened, April 2023. Have had safe experiences in past years, but omelette had (unsafe) potatoes in it - which means shared grill. Disappointed.

Confident about their ability to do GF. I got the Isle of Palms shrimp and grits and they were amazing

The menu is clearly marked with GF items. When I went I was interested in something that was a special for the day which I thought was GF and not marked. Our server asked the chef and it sure was GF. They subbed out for a different fish that I was more interested in as well and were very accommodating. This was the most delicious meal of our trip and I did not get sick! So good!

This place was great! Servers were very knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. I got a Cesar salad with no croutons and the Isle of Palms shrimp and grits. Both were delicious and were great portions. I split both with my mom and we still had leftovers. No reaction!

The waiter was well informed about cross contamination. They have an “allergy key” menu. I was appreciative that while the kids menu is not labeled, the waiter mentioned they could adapt the kids size omelet for my 8 year old without me thinking to ask.

The bartender was so awesome. He understood my requirements to eat out and made suggestions off the menu. I got to enjoy the most amazing short ribs, collard greens, and grits for dinner. Will be back for sure. And so enjoyed chatting with the bartenders during dinner.

So many of the entrees were ⭐ed on the menu, identifying GF menu items. I thanked the server for those indications on the menu and let him know i had celiac. He made note of it on the ticket and said yes, the chef’s father is GF so they understood the importance. Short ribs and grits were amazing by the way!.

My family and I really enjoyed our meal and dining experience here. There was a bit of a long wait for seating, as this is a popular restaurant for dinner. It was worth the wait!
They don’t have a gf menu but they do have knowledgeable staff. I was able to safely order and dine with any neg reactions. Our server was great, helpful in ordering safely and the manager even came out to ask how everything was and if we were ok, and the food to our satisfaction. We would definitely return again. Oh-and the scallops and braised short ribs were perfect!

Wow! The food was awesome, the staff excellent! Ally our server was able to get, clarify, and review back to us our order that consisted of gluten, dairy, and nut allergies. No one got sick! Also they were very comfortable with small children being small children in restaurants, no matter how hard we tried to contain them. Absolutely recommend and may go back on the small vacation.

The grits were amazing but I did get sick after. The service was great and hopefully they will get some training on how to handle an allergy betterz
Great spot with excellent food. Lots of fried items on their menu so to be safe ended up getting a salad with shrimp. No reaction. Could’ve gotten the shrimp and grits but kept it light since it only lunch.
Best low country grits ever. Server was knowledgeable and seafood was fresh and cooked wonderfully. No dedicated fryer.

Unfortunately all their dishes with potatoes are cross contaminated. No gf pancakes either. But their omelette and grits were said to be gf and tasty. One of the waiters was not familiar with gluten free and menu items not clearly marked. Not sure why i got sick. I thought omelette and grits were said to be safe. Hmmm
We went for breakfast and it was delicious. The waitress let me know what was gluten free. They have speciality drinks but I just had a fresh squeezed OJ with lime. It was pulpy- truly fresh and refreshing, although pricy. I ate the Holy City Hash. Yum. Homemade hash that had big chunks of tender corned beef, crunchy diced potatoes, eggs over easy, and a smoked Gouda cream sauce. It was dreamy. We ate in the covered outdoor room which is light and airy. I have no complaints and would go back again if I didn’t life in another state. 😉

Had the (Charleston) shrimp and grits. They were incredible! Will definitely come back.

I called ahead and spoke to Byron. He brought out my food personally. He makes all gf dishes cross contamination free. He knew what celiac disease was. I was worried bc I got a complicated dish off the specials, but I was fine!!!! He checked back several times and really helped me feel comfortable. 24 hrs later and no reaction. I am extremely glad to find this place.

Frank, the Chef, will listen to your dietary constraints and will make great food that you can eat. My wife has a lot of constraints and she always leaves here happy. This is a feel good restaurant where the staff really care about taking care of customers.

Fantastic seafood restaurant with gluten free options on the menu. Just ask the server and they will verbally go through the options with you.
