Came here for dinner while on vacation. I was disappointed to see only a few items GF. Side salad, Garden salad, Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya, & Grilled Fish of the Day. Our waitress was not knowledgeable at all about celiac and wasn’t really interested in asking for me. I ended up ordering the fish of the day which was Mahi Mahi. The fish was overcooked and dry. The only thing on the plate that was decent was the vegetable medley. I wouldn’t choose this restaurant again in Gulf Shores when there are many others I’ve tried that are far better.
There are very few choices to pick from if you cannot eat gluten. (3 to be exact, not counting separate side items) I ordered the jambalaya, which was tasty, but the lack of choices was not ideal. It also says right in their menu that they cannot guarantee against cross-contamination.
I was told all the fish dishes were available grilled/gf. I ordered the fish of the day (Cobia) and it came over cooked & dried out. The sides were so small.....I left hungry & it was moderately priced!
Very impressed with the knowledge the staff has about food allergies. I was able to order fries with my grilled fish meal due to a dedicated gluten-free frier. They do not have a separate gluten-free menu but they do use the letter "G" to indicate gluten free items.
Came here for a bachelorette party. Not a ton of GF options, but a couple items naturally gluten free. I had the red beans and rice. It was delicious. I let them know I was celiac and they said they'd take precautions for cross contamination but couldn't guarantee anything. I had no issues after.
The server had celiac and was very knowledgeable. The chargrilled oysters aren’t listed as gf but are - just don’t have them add the bread. Incredible! Next time I’ll bring my gf crackers! The jambalaya & red beans and rice are gf & delicious! Of course, all fried foods use the same fryer so not gf.
