What a cute find! Loved this dedicated gluten free bakery in the heart of Saint Augustine! Of course knowing it was completely celiac safe, I had to get extra goodies/try as much as I could. I ate a brownie in the shop and took home a gingerbread loaf, German chocolate cupcake (personal favorite), homemade Twix bars and even a pre packaged gluten free vanilla cupcake mix to bake later.
They also have order ahead and delivery options, I will be ordering my gluten free birthday cake from here soon. The owner is kind and seems to genuinely care about the community. Highly recommend for a safe and sweet treat!
As a city local, this is the safest option for coffee, the baked goods are naturally sweetened so they aren’t trying to “copy” gluten bakery items as much as trying to create a healthier GF/DF bakery item. I have celiac and my main concern when going in is the use of oats which can not be guaranteed gluten free for atleast 2 years now, there’s many articles and studies on GF watchdog. So when in doubt double check that your order doesn’t contain Oats. Their main menu includes very little ingredients and they are written on the smaller menus kept at the register. None of the staff should have issues with answering your questions about other allergens.
I have celiac disease and am very careful about cross contamination. I loved the ice cream sandwich (was even dairy free!), but the Twix bars and cinnamon bun I could’ve made much better. I would go again, just only get the ice cream sandwich. The other stuff isn’t worth the price.
We just visited on a trip to St. Augustine, and I love that this place is dedicated GF. I wanted so badly for it to be great, but it wasn’t. My husband and I each had a coffee, and we got the quiches and the cinnamon roll to share. The quiches were good and the cinnamon roll was good, but I didn’t care for the maple icing. To take home for the next day, I got an everything bagel and the apple cinnamon pop tart. I give the following reviews, but please keep in mind that these were day old, so fresh could have been much better. The bagel was inedible. It crumbled and tasted like powder. The pastry of the pop tart wasn’t bad, but the filling was overpoweringly cinnamon and had an odd after taste. Other items may be fantastic and these could be great fresh, but this was my experience.
Everything is gluten free! I highly recommend this place… I tried the pop tart - it was enough for 2! Filled with mixed berry compote and really fresh… I also had a latte and dined-in in their cute little cafe. Give it a try… you won’t be disappointed. I also overheard a customer gushing about a cake they ordered - said it was the best she ever had!
Second time in, glad that we tried it again because we hadn’t planned on it. Love that everything is gluten free and that they have dairy free and vegan options.
This time we ordered:
Iced chai tea latte with oat milk : 4/5 tasted fresh and “healthy”, not too sweet
Plain bagel with dairy cream cheese : 5/5 got it toasted and it was so yummy! Dense bagel but it had a nice flavor. Next time I would try their everything bagel. It was exactly what I was craving for breakfast.
Cinnamon roll: 2/5 it looked delicious and based on other reviews I was excited to try it. It has good texture, but that was about it…didn’t seem to have much flavor.
Fudge brownie: 1/5 looks delicious but I couldn’t get past the texture and almond flavor (I’m not a fan of almonds so that can be why)
Based on my first time going, if you love the taste of almond flour, you’ll like the pastries.
This was a welcome little spot to get some good gluten free treats. Everything is gluten free. Some things were really good, and others were ok. The lemon blueberry scone was delicious as was the brownie. They make coffee drinks and smoothies as well. Get there early because they are a popular spot and things tend to sell quick!
Pretty space, completely overrated in regards to the taste of items. Tried pop tart, lemon bar, double chocolate chip cookie, and the chocolate chip banana bread.
It’s gluten free. Safe. Small portions (minus pop tart), overpriced, and just tastes decent - nothing to brag about.
We buy gluten free treats EVERYWHERE here and all other places we travel and think it’s a nice environment but we will not be going back. Plenty of other places in the area that offer better tasting options.
Holy Mackerel!! This was DELICIOUS! I did not expect to find celiac friendly, allergy friendly baked goods but, folks, the cinnamon & apple pop tart is INSANE! The pecan square is crazy good- the chocolate chip scone with raspberry jam is knock your socks off! Just do yourself a favor- go and enjoy a magical treat!! Oh- did I not mention the matcha w/ lavender honey? Guys- it’s so good I almost cried. Go check them out- TOTALLY worth it!
They use nuts in almost all their products. Products are Soy free. They had a ginger molasses cookie that was nut free plus their other free. The cookie has a lovely lightness too it and the flavor is great too! However, there is a texture to the flour I’m not sure I like, but my husband loved them.
On vacation in St Augustine and discovered this magical bakery. It’s dedicated GF and DF and also has many vegan options.
It’s so cute inside and out.
I cannot tell you how liberating it is to just walk into a place and pick stuff out of a case that you want to eat!? Wut? I am GF, DF, and egg-free (allergies all)….so bake stuff only at home and cannot think the last time I ate someone else’s baking, let alone from a shop.
The nutter butter cookies are sublime!
10/10
Wish there was one in Michigan!
Cute and cozy bakery with lots of smoothies, delicious baked items, great coffee and lattes. Very nice and accommodating staff. We tried over half of the baked items, favorites were the Twix bar, chocolate donut, bagel with cream cheese and the thought of the pop tart we just missed out on because we got there too late.
Seriously, so delicious. How can this be gluten-free? An entire bakery dedicated to loving people like us!
I did not try one of everything ha ha but almost.
The coffee cake scrumptious, the lemon bar tart and delicious pecan bar, crunchy and flavorful, carrot cake Yum Yum Yum All reasonably priced good size portions. Terrific customer service absolutely delicious food.
Don’t walk, run to Alms & Fair. Came upon this gem while heading to a different place, glad we checked it out! I don’t know how they made the GF pop tart crust so buttery without butter, but they did! Wonderful selection of baked goods ALL GF/DF! We sampled a few things and none disappointed!! I’m a very sensitive celiac, no issues whatsoever!!!
This place is heaven. It’s dedicated gluten free as well as dairy free and naturally sweetened! Everything I ordered was delicious. I got an iced latte that was superb, a smoothie which was perfectly balanced and very many sweets such as the Twix bars, lemon bar, chocolate chip banana bread, coffee cake and more. Everything was perfect
Nice selection and yummy!! We detoured 1 hour so our daughter (celiacs, lactose free, sugar free) could eat real food without all the artificial sugars 99.99% of companies and businesses like to add. It was worth every minute and then some! Nice young ladies in the very clean, well designed and pretty shop. And to top it off, they have some stuff you can order online and have it shipped. What more can you ask for? …. Maybe a location in a Myrtle Beach? I had a smoothie, mixed berry bar and a raspberry choc chip scone (omg, that was my fave). My daughter had the Twix bar (another🤤), banana bread, cinnamon roll, lemon bar, and pecan bar, a smoothie and a latte. We got enough for breakfast tomorrow too 😉 She nibbled some of all and loved everything!😂 She is in heaven, which makes this mom very happy! This place gets 10 out of 5 stars❤
Such a lovely bakery and friendly staff! All their items are gluten free and most are even grain free! I love working from here.
Stopped in on a whim and got a GF bagel and GF cinnamon roll! Everything was GF (I kept asking out of habit) and the girls working were very knowledgeable!
Excellent. Great employee. 👍 had blueberry muffins, chocolate cake and chocolate chips cookies
This place is absolutely wonderful. All gluten free treats (and dairy free) - a celiac's dream come true. We got a little of everything (cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffin, peppermint brownies, samoa donut, coffee cake) and loved it all. The owner is kind and lovely to chat with. Her husband has celiac. I wish we lived closer but will be back each time we visit St. Augustine. ❤
Delicious goodies. It was nice to order knowing I was completely safe.
