Nice place with good surroundings, lots of meat-based food, you can order everything with fries instead of gluten containing side dishes

This restaurant seemed promising based on the website and the discussion with the host, but the waiter was clueless. There is actually no gluten-free menu, just a list of allergens in each meal. There were 3 items on the menu that were labeled as possible to make gluten free, 2 were salads. I ordered one of the salads to be gluten free and was given a bowl of lettuce. Just lettuce! Perhaps a better waiter could have navigated the situation, but even with native German speakers at the table with us, our results were terrible.

Reviews have been fairly varied for this restaurant, but I had a wonderful experience. We went here for an early dinner and it was busy but had a great waitress who was able to understand my request and made note of the need to be gluten free. I had one of the rosti options without the egg and absolutely loved my meal. Not sure on the beverage options (appeared to be only beer), but my meal was great. I have celiac and was not affected.
Be careful here! We have eaten here off and on for years, with mixed results. We have always had to be vigilant about the food that is delivered (more than once having to send something back that had gluten when we had ordered Gluten-free). This last visit was awful: 2 of 4 meals were glutened. The waiter substituted pasta (with gluten!) for the rice that was supposed to come with the dish. We noticed this only after our visiting celiac friend hungrily started eating as soon as the food was served. When we called this to the waiter’s attention he said we had requested the substitution (no way!) and then said “It can happen.”The manager was more understanding but it was too late for our friend. Later we read the label on the “gluten free” beer to find that it’s made from wheat (with the gluten “removed” after fermentation). The “allergy menu” can lead one to think this is a safe option but the high staff turnover and tourist location mean this is a busy place where you’re taking your chances with the food that you get. I would advise anyone needing to avoid gluten to stick with drinks, enjoy the view, and eat somewhere else.
