Very enjoyable meal with many GF options. Service by David was excellent, and he saw to it that everything I ordered was appropriately prepared. Warm rolls and my own dipping plate of an excellent olive oil and herbs was a most welcome touch. Creme Brulee torched tableside was a great feature!
Half way through my gluten free chicken piccata I found a noodle underneath my green beans. A noodle! Ironically, my boyfriend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was the same type of noodle. The waiter was so nice and brought me another meal but I didn’t trust it. They took our drinks off the bill but I will not be back. I expect a little cross contam when you go out to dinner but not a NOODLE.
I had filet, potatoes and green beans. My company Christmas dinner was here, so I called ahead to speak to a manager about food safety and avoidance of cross contamination as I have pretty sensitive celiac. She was very helpful, took my number to call me back after she spoke to the chef. They promised to be extremely careful in my meal prep. Unfortunately, I have to take off one star due to the waiters giving me a salad with dressing that had to be taken back, but they did bring a fresh salad and some olive oil and balsamic vinegar for me to dress it myself (delicious!). And the wait staff gave me ice cream with sauce that couldn’t be verified gluten free so I had to remind them again, and they brought plain ice cream instead. Everyone was helpful, and kind, and patient. But they did require reminding. As long as you are careful, and vigilant, you can eat a FANTASTIC filet!!!
I ordered one of only 2 Gluten Free options available on the menu and explained to my waiter that it was very important that I not consume gluten. He said he understood. Unfortunately, the pasta that came with my meal was not gluten free as he stated it was and my immune system is now compromised and I’m having many negative reactions. In addition, upon looking at the check, he did not even input an order for GF. It simply states “1 shrimp risotto.” Stay away from this restaurant as the wait-staff is clearly not well enough trained or attentive to keep people with Celiacs safe and healthy.
I looked up the gluten free menu online before arriving. When I got to the restaurant they did have gf dishes denoted on their regular menu , but they weren’t all the same as what was reflected on the online gluten free menu. I asked the waitress and she was very helpful, stating the kitchen had the ingredients for the dish I wanted (an Italian style chopped salad). They also have gluten free pasta and some of their sauces are gluten free. They have gluten free rolls as well you just have to ask , which is seriously amazing as the only restaurant I’ve been to outside of Disney World that serves gluten free bread with dinner is the Melting Pot. There happened to be an issue with my order (not relating to gluten) and they were more than willing to fix it. The waitress and kitchen staff in my opinion really want above and beyond to accommodate me. I had no issues following the meal whatsoever.
They have a GF menu. The menu recommends clearly there could be cross contamination and isn't recommended for celiac. I'm celiac, and had the chicken piccata and creme brulee - and had no issues. I'd return.
Update 12/14/2017: The manager reached out to me after I emailed the restaurant about my prior visit. I understand that there were some changes in staff and a complete crew retraining in handling of food allergies after my experience. We went back tonight and had an excellent meal with great care taken for my allergy. --------------------- I ordered an entree that only appeared on the gluten free menu. It was brought it plated with regular vermicelli. I caught the issue, the kitchen and wait did not. Another plate was brought out. The waiter claimed that they re-cooked it after I asked. after finishing most of the plate I found a pile of the vermicelli hiding under the last slice of meat. Starting to feel ill already. Clearly they lack in training and procedure for this to happen. Not going to return.
Wonderful GF pasta!! We had the Ciao Potabello with Beef Tips for an appetizer and it was wonderful!! Staff was very knowledgable, and GF selections are listed right on the menu. The chef was able to make any of the sauces GF. I had the Pasta Andiamo with GF pasta of course, Arrabbiata Sauce and Chicken; it was wonderful! I couldn't even tell it was GF pasta. The house salad was very good as well. Others at the table got steak, mamma's chopped salad (he said it was the best salad he has ever had) and the basil pesto and pasta and everyone was very pleased with their meals. Service was great. Can't wait to go back!!
