I always get eggs or an omelette and I’ve never gotten sick. They have a gluten free menu and even gluten free toast!

Another Broken Egg Cafe only offers a “gluten-friendly” menu with an asterisk next to most menu items claiming that cross contamination cannot be completely avoided. I read reviews that mentioned pancakes but when I asked about how they were prepared, I was told that they are made on the same surface as other gluten containing pancakes so I didn’t want to take the risk. I ordered the Hey Lucy Omelet with a side of bacon and found the food to be pretty good, especially since I had no reaction. I’d recommend this restaurant but urge you to order with caution.

I always enjoy my meal here and agree with he other comments here. Cocktails are good, pancakes are fantastic, and I have never had any issues. Staff are knowledgeable about food allergies. It’s so good that I always say to my husband, “is this really gluten free?” Prices are reasonable and my family enjoys the food as well.

Been here twice as a celiac college student and never had any problems! The staff is knowledgeable and they have a whole separate gluten free menu if u request one from the server. Never gotten sick here and the brunch food is awesome! I love the goat cheese blueberry pancakes.

The food here is so good and I didn't get sick after eating here! I ordered the Hey Lucy omelette with dollar size gluten free pancakes and I ate every single bite! The coffee was also really good! Will definitely be coming back here soon!

No gluten free menu, but they had items that could be made gluten free (pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc.). I got the gluten free peach cobbler pancakes. So good I couldn't tell they were gluten free. Mine did come out with oats, but the server was very apologetic and replaced it quickly and took it off our bill. I also got scrambled eggs, bacon, and city grits. All delicious. I did not get sick after eating here.

Great options for gluten free! Their BLT was great.

Terrible service. I got super sick. They made the bread on the grill. I didn’t catch it in time. It was spread with butter. 😞

Terrible!!!!! Run if you are celiac. My son (celiac) ate there today(only thing he had eaten so far) and within two hours he was vomiting profusely with diarrhea. Awful stomach cramps. I wish I could do it over again and skip this place.

Great place to eat! I've had their Bourbon Street Pancakes, Floridian Omelette, City Grits, and a few other items. Everything I have tried has been delicious. I've eaten at this location five or six times or more, and it has never made me sick.

I ate at this restaurant 2 to 3 times while staying in Charleston. I never had any problems with the food which was good quality. Based on the feedback I got from servers I believe they take reasonable precautions to serve gluten-free meals, however, I would probably avoid menu items which may run a slightly higher risk of cross-contamination.
