Made me a fabulous Benny over spinach. Server noted my need for gluten free and made sure the chef was made aware. Delicious and did not get sick. My husband loved his non gf breakfast. Their coffee is great (and cute cups!)
The service was excellent. Everyone seemed to be knowledgeable about how to reduce the possibility of cross-contamination. Our order was specially marked on the receipt and on our plates. Between the two of us, we ordered three different kinds of pancakes, eggs, two kinds of sausage, and coffee. Both my son and I have gluten issues, and I am especially sensitive. I waited four days to post this, and neither of us has suffered any ill effects. We will definitely be returning to sample more of their quite impressive list of gluten-free options.
I’ve been here quite a few times and have only had a (relatively minor) reaction once. They have a dedicated gf menu and a great variety of options! It’s worth mentioning they usually have a wait and don’t do reservations, so check the waitlist online if you’re planning on going.
They do seem to have more staff turnover (solely based on my own observations, I could be totally wrong) which would make sense with it being a college campus, and possibly because of that, the staff usually (in my experience) aren’t super sure about allergy precautions, so I’m always sure to mention that it’s an allergy - not a preference - and provide more info if it seems like it might be a first for them. They’re always very helpful and accommodating though!
As I mentioned, I’ve only had one reaction before and it was relatively minor so I think it was cross-contamination problem. I’d be interested to know other people’s experiences but overall I’d feel pretty safe eating here again.
