My husband and I drove down today. Since being diagnosed celiac a few months ago, eating out scares me. I was able to go in, without fear as they are 100% gluten free with no cross contamination. I ordered the Pollo La Catria aprea & the same in an empanada. It was incredibly delicious!! I will be back!

Menu is fully gluten free with heavy presence of corn based products, 3-4 protein options with various combinations of plantains, rice beans and other vegetables, 3 gluten free beers on menu too
Great food and the place is GF. Lots of corn products so not so friendly for lectins. None the less the food is fresh and flavorful and the staff is nice and helpful

The food is amazing! Took my celiac teen who was over the moon with joy and said it was the BEST gf restaurant food she has ever had. The place is adorable. All of the food is gf and they have many vegetarian options. They did have gf beers but I also saw they had some non gf beer and malt drink. Hopefully they keep that separate? Beer was in a bottle. Really soooo delicious.

It’s so nice to have a dedicated facility. I’m a celiac and vegan, and there were several vegan options (which is rare to find something that is vegan and gluten free!). We had arepas and empanadas, and they were great. They also have GF cookies and dairy free popsicles.
My only problem was that they didn’t know if the cookies they sell contained eggs (my son has an egg allergy), but that didn’t affect any of their GF options.

Food is very good. Nice to have a gluten free facility. One worker was Rude to my husband. There was a long line, we were literally paying for an order (placed in advance as the kids were hungry and prep time is long) and having it handed to us when my husband who just sat down with the baby was told we could not sit until the food was physically in our hands (which it was 30 seconds later). We had pre-ordered to allow us not to wait. The woman would not listen to the explanation that I was actively paying for the pre-order. My husband will not go back and will not eat the food he is so angry. I have to go by myself because it is hard for me to just cross a GF facility off my list of places to eat. Wish they were open for dinner.

Great for the range of carnivore to vegan. Amazing! Magical! Blew our minds.
I wish I could eat here every day. It's that good!
Located within the municipal market. Very friendly, I had gluten free pescado arepa along with tostones. Be prepared, the arepas can be messy...do not unwrap. Everything very good & would definitely go back.
200% GF! Already a fan of their food, and now elated that they're serving brunch. Had the salmon arepa, and walked out with a happy tummy still energized for the rest of the day. Thrilled that I can choose anything on the menu without asking for any changes. Yep, dedicated fryer, so don't hesitate over that fried fish. If you don't know about arepas, they're Venezuelan sandwiches on a corn flour bun. My mom was a little confused until she took a look at her food. "Oh, this is like a hoecake!" The empanadas are to die for, too. Love the new location as well. Soooo much more accessible.

This place is so good that my GF husband and I intentionally plan to be in Atlanta when they're open when we are taking road trips - I think we've made it five or six times now. Safe food, fun and warm atmosphere, and ridiculously delicious food. We can eat anything on the menu and want to eat much more than our stomachs can hold.

Amazing food! 100% Gluten free. GF beer available too!
Everything's gluten free! We tried the arepas and the empanadas. Both were good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. We'll be back.

So nice to have a delicious, 100% GF restaurant to take the guesswork and anxiety out of dining out.
Yes
Such good food! everything or almost everything was gluten free when I went a few months ago. very tasty food lots of options for other dietary needs. it's also in a building with other restaurants and grocers so you can please everyone's palate at the same place. I think all the arepas are made from corn, so if you also have a problem with corn this place may not work for you.

I eat at the one on Auburn Ave in the curb market, love it.

I have been here several times and have yet to find something I do not love. The food is DELICIOUS and it is so comforting to know that they are a dedicated gf facility.

Fantastic gluten free restaurant!
Delicious and all gluten free. The arepas are delicious, and the arepitas fritas are a good appetizer.
Arepa Mia has been one of my favs since before Lizbet (owner/chef) even had a restaurant. She used to come to the Sweet Auburn Curb Market on Fridays with a hot plate and cooler full of pre-prepared areas to warm up and sell. Arepas are Venezuelan sandwiches - BUT the sandwich "bread" is made of a gluten free corn masa. Arepa Mia uses only high quality ingredients - locally-sourced, organic veggies (when possible) and meats (Riverview Farms, Brasstown Beef), and imported cheeses from Venezuela. Empanadas and other GF entrees are also on the menu as are freshly made plantain and yucca chips (served with a smooth, dip-able white Venezuelan cheese. The entire restaurant is naturally gluten free. Liz's guasacara sauce is amazing! She also has a traditional raw sugar cane beverage and a freshly made tropical fruit juice every day (passion fruit juice, guava juice, etc.). My favorites are her vegetarian arepa (black beans, sautéed local veggies, Venezuelan cheese), asada negra (beef roast cooked in red wine and raw sugar cane with onions), and the pernil (slow roasted pork with onions served with guasacara sauce). Arepa Mia now has two permanent locations - one in the Sweet Auburn Curb Market and another in Decatur on College Ave.

My husband it's always out in the prowl for GF restaurants to surprise me, even when he is not GF. Today he came in screaming for me to come to the kitchen and taste what he brought. It was a Sandwish made out of Tostones with everything in it. Organic, local produce and GF. I could have not cooked it better, and this is a lot to say coming from me. I can't wait to try the whole menu!
