The parking lot can be challenging at lunch time but once we were there, the staff was helpful and things went fast and smooth. The chicken bone broth soup was good and it was nice to eat in a gluten free and safe environment. Beyond the soup though, and some tasty sauces, no one in our group was super impressed with the food. It was fine, but most items were bland.
Ordered takeout or delivery at least a dozen times with no issues whatsoever, even when ordering through a delivery service. It's a fast food place - you order ahead or at the counter and stand around for your food.
This location is entirely gluten-free! I really enjoy their banh mi sandwich - the bread is great and the sandwich is packed, even though it's not a "traditional" banh mi. We get it in a 4-pack that comes with cookies and spring rolls.
For those trying to avoid peanuts, a lot of their sauces and dishes have peanuts as a garnish or ingredient - including both of their spring rolls.

This is one of our family’s go-to restaurants. Our son with celiac loves the salmon box. And our son who doesn’t have celiac says that the tofu spring rolls are his hands down favorite food in the world.
The recent review sharing the story of the employee stating that the restaurant uses soy sauce (with wheat) rather than tamari sauce was startling to me. I emailed the company, and I heard back from someone who said that this was staff error in describing the soy sauce: “The soy sauce we use in all our stores is and always will be Tamari soy sauce.” They will share my email with staff for further training. I also received a nice email from the CEO, apologizing for the staff confusion.
Uhhhhh. Went here first as it seemed the safest place in Palo Alto. Everything but two dishes had soy sauce in the ingredient listing,
I asked if they meant tamari, since soy sauce in the US has wheat as an ingredient. They went and checked the back and said nope, it’s soy sauce (with wheat). the cashier was super nice in grabbing out the allergen/ingredient binder and helping me find something without soy sauce.
I ordered the miss jones, which was very tasty. I got freaked out when the hard boiled Carmel egg looked soy marinated, but the cashier looked it up and said it was fish sauce and tamarind. Phew!
Food was good and tasted fresh. People working there were nice and cared. Still couldn’t shake the feeling I had narrowly escaped disaster.
Ordered off Uber eats. Got the green curry with chicken and brown rice, a tofu spring roll, and they gave me a free ube bubble tea!
The curry was good, the chicken was perfectly cooked. The tofu spring rolls were delicious, and the ube bubble tea was amazing!! Haven’t had bubble tea since my diagnosis, it was so tasty! Will definitely be back if we’re in the area.
Always happy to see dedicated gf places as a sensitive celiac :)
The food was quick and tasty. It was nice not to have to worry about any cross contamination as the whole menu was gluten free. They also had gluten free chocolate chip cookies that were pretty good!
This place saved my life when moving to this area. I never have to specify my Celiac Disease here, as it is 100% gluten free. Moreover, it is reasonably price for the area, and I always have leftovers for the next day! My only VERY small complaint is the amount of meat they have in their dishes. It's so good, and I wish there was more!
As a newly diagnosed celiac, this place has been a life-saver for me. I've eaten here almost once a week for the last several months and have never gotten sick - in fact, after any gluten-related events that have occurred (like accidental CC from non-GF roommates), I come here to get "safe" food while trying to figure out what went wrong in my kitchen. Definitely recommend!
!st time ordering here. Have eaten at their location in Mtn. View many times. Not sure of authenticity, but the food is very good. Portion size is good. Not fancy but not cafeteria food, either. Some differences in offerings to additions to box meal here in Palo Alto. Spicer Peanut Sauce, and good. Not Thai Peanut Sauce recipe, but still good. Love that I can order freely and eat worry-free. Worth the price. Love the caramel egg. Steak, chicken and Tofu all tasty and good protein choices. Dairy free for majority of options too, which I am grateful for.
Per a review below, I checked the Maggi bottle—it is labeled GF, and the ingredients show it as corn-based, no wheat. I’ve had the bahn mi a few times at multiple locations and always enjoyed it with no issues. (The roll is crispy & great, and all the food here is really flavorful.) We also had coconut chicken curry, kids steak box, shrimp spring rolls, and cookies. All delicious! I always eat at this micro chain in the Bay Area and took some kids this time. Review written by a Celiac kid [and sibling]: “This place was amazing, except the coconut curry sauce was a little spicy. [Other kid: “That’s your opinion; we don’t have to write that.”]. The broccoli was really good. The shrimp was amazingly seasoned. So many options to choose from. Chocolate chip cookies are amazing. I have another dislike, the beers weren’t gluten-free [“You can’t even drink beer.” “I know, but, since they have gluten beers, they’re not 100% gluten free, only 99%.”] Overall, it was all very good.”
