Never gotten sick. Gluten free fries and hamburgers!
I have missed being able to have a bacon cheese burger here. I'm so glad to know they have a gluten free bun. It sucks that they charge an extra $1 for bring gluten free but so worth it.
I love this place. It even carries a gluten free bun for their burgers. They have a dedicated fryer but you have to ask for it.
Always had great luck here. Just let them know it's an allergy.
I ate here once and I got sick. It tasted very good, but not worth getting sick.
Good lots of gluten free options We know the owner. they are wonderful just love this place
very good food. They did their best to ensure a gf lunch. I am extremely sensitive and the food didn't even give me a grumble.
I eat here probably two times a week and never get sick. Really good gluten-free buns. Cold turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries is great. I've also have the Philly cheesesteak sandwich on a gluten-free bun that was excellent. George the owner is very accommodating and knows how to not cross contaminate food.
Excellent food! Gluten free buns are amazing and if you ask they fry the fries in a seperate fryer so they are fresh and GF! Amazing food!
Love the food. They have gluten free buns that I actually like better than the regular buns. They also have a separate fryer for their fries. They always include a side of mayo and ketchup so you can make your own fry sauce. I've never had a problem with the staff mixing up my order.
Nice,knowledgable and fast
Amazing food. Great price. They have loss of great gluten free food with a dedicated fryer and grill to avoid cross contamination.
Gluten free buns and a dedicated fryer for fries. They are very well trained and I have excellent service every time. One if my favorite places to go.
Awesome!!! We have been to 2 different establishments now and have been completely impressed with the staff knowledge and assistance. I am highly sensitive and have not had reaction at all to the food. I was great to order a grilled chicken sandwich and have it on a bun!!!
Come here twice a week, burgers are great.. staff is so-so, order your fries well done and you will not get them that way if you come here in the evening. . The night staff is LAZY and do not take pride in there work.. only come during the day when the owners are in the HOUSE!!! After 5 you take your chances. ... or just skip the fries or the combo!! And go for just the burgers...
They did a fabulous job! I usually get my burgers without the bun because I don't care much for gf buns but theirs were fabulous! Best fast food I have had in a long time! They understood the issues. They explained that the fry sauce they use on the burger's isn't safe because they use a spatula and double dip in their container back where they make the burgers. However, the fry sauce out on the floor comes out of a squirt container and is fine to use. Really delicious and great people work here!
Glutinated by the fries. They gave me fries with pieces of their onion ring wheat flour coating. I realized mid way through lunch and dumped the fries out of their package finding the onion ring breaking pieces. They are not using separate dedicated fryers, or not paying attention to the order. Either way, they poisoned me and I developed blisters and abdominal issues.
I took my son with celiac here and the owner was very nice and accommodating. He said although they have a separate fryer he can't guarantee someone didn't make a mistake so we avoided the fries. They had gluten free buns for the burgers though which my son enjoyed and he even showed me the label for the salad dressings to check if they were ok. We would definitely go again. The staff were all very kind.
My 4 year old was excited we found a gluten free kids meal! I'm doing 4 instead of 5 stars only because the cashier rang up the order wrong and they gave us a regular kids meal. I immediately asked if it was GF when I got it and thy said no. The cook was visibly concerned they had rang it up wrong and immediately made a new one. They take it very seriously, but the cashier hadn't entered it right which is forgivable. Just remember to confirm its GF when you get your food!!
We came here for the first time because of the good reviews. When I ordered they were somewhat informed how to prepare gluten free. I definitely didn't get the warm fuzzies. I was told they do not have a dedicated fryer for fries. No fries for me. ☹️ Wasn't offered a gluten free bun. Older reviews stated they had offered gf buns.
First choice when the family feels like having a good GF burger and fries. Wife and 2 daughters have celiac, me and 2 other kids do not. Great food, and they do a good job to keep my girls safe and happy. Never had a problem or concern. All smiles and full bellies.
If you are celiac and need a fast food fix, I would recommend these guys... I have eaten their double cheeseburgers many times now and have not had any reaction! Must order without ketchup or mayo though.. Their fries have their own fryer... Don't recommend the fry sauce....
Very celiac conscious!! Separate fryer for fries, they change gloves to prepare burgers & in our experience the gentleman taking our order physically walked back to the cook to make sure he knew it was for an allergy family! We Definitely give this place 2 thumbs up!!
Confirmed briefly when ordering about GF again. I have learned to call ahead and find out all the details discretely by phone. Got a bacon cheeseburger w/gf bun and fries cooked in their own dedicated fryer. (I seriously don't know why most restaurants don't do this just to keep french fries tasting like fries instead of some weird onion ring conglomeration.) Had all the fixings: ketchup, mustard, house sauce, and fry sauce. Kept the hamburger in the paper wrap to eat so I did not notice if the bun fell apart or not. Was just happy that gluten free has become so popular. Did not get glutened!
Astro Burgers has the best GF burger I have had so far. I have never gotten sick after eating here. They are pretty knowledgeable about GF. They have gluten free buns that seem like Udi's brand buns, and they are the best buns I have had in a restaurant. The manager at the south jordan location is super nice and helpful. Their fries are pretty good most of the time, but are occasionally undercooked. Overall, it is still my favorite GF burger joint.
Their gf menu is small and simple but it has the necessary stuff when you're craving a burger. My double cheese burger is always delicious and my husband likes their gf chicken sandwich. The fries are good and the shakes are huge. The prices are also reasonable and we've never had a problem with the staff. As others have said, the sandwiches are built in such a way that you don't end up with a soggy mess or a glorified salad and the buns are best I've had. Minor gripes: I wish they put onion and pickle on the burgers. Yesterday (Pioneer Day) when business was slow, we got fries that I don't think were made separately from the other fried food because there was a little piece of something (onion ring maybe?) in with the fries. My guess is that since business was so slow they didn't want to start a whole batch of gf fries just for me. So make sure you're clear that you need them GF.
I eat here probably two times a week and never get sick. The food is great and they have good gluten-free buns. Cold turkey sandwich is great as is the Philly cheesesteak on a gluten-free bun. You can do sweet potato fries or regular fries and a dedicated fryer. George the owner really cares about his customers and he knows how to not cross contaminate food. His staff is also well-trained. Highly recommended
I've been a few times now with no problem, but on Wednesday I got glutened. My husband ordered a regular combo and I got a GF burger thinking I could just share a few of his fries. Turns out if you don't ask for GF fries, they won't be GF. My fault- I should have known. After the last few days, I'll never assume again!
I've always loved charcoal broiled burgers and was so grateful to find they now had GF buns. Like most GF buns, there's a LOT of bread, but it's very tasty. Love the fries too. Haven't tried anything else there, but it's great to get a good burger once in awhile.
This was my favorite burger joint pre-discovery of my gluten problems, so when I found out through this app that they cater to the gluten free audience, I double and triple checked everything. Its true! They warm up delicious Udi buns and you can order basically any sandwich (the bun costs $1.25 for adults, $1.00 with kids meals). They fry their fries separately anyway. And they give you mayo so you can mix your own fry sauce. The original has gluten in it. It was amazing. I haven't had a bun on a fast food burger for a long time and it was nice to feel "normal". My child got a kids meal and with less meat the bun looks comically large. So maybe I'll get more meat for her next time. It was great and the staff was knowledgeable. Highly recommend it.
The entire team here are super informed in handling gf. Eat here all the time with my little gf family and have never had an issue. You can ask about anything on the menu and not only do they have well informed answers but a well trained process on how to make these orders without cross contaminating. Not to mention the food is super tasty..
Eating at Astro Burger was a good experience. I decided to try the place after reading the reviews. I was very delighted to find one more place that served GF. I got the double cheese burger, and even though they said they had GF buns I wasn't expecting much out of the bun. I found a place while on vacation in Atlanta, GA that had GF buns, but their bun fell apart before I was half through. But the Astro bun wss fantastic in taste, texture, and durability. I actually thought I was given a regular bun by mistake. It was light, chewie, with no graininess. The meat was charbroiled, which wss flavorful, but a little dry. They have a GF devoted fryer, which was great. The fries aren't freshly made, but they were good. I talked to the on-duty manager about the buns as I left, and told him how great thier GF bun was. He told me that he'd gladly sell me the buns at his cost if I wanted some. It would definitely be worth the expense (probably $1 to $1.50 each), which isn't too far from the ones I've seen sold as hamburger buns it in stores, but which weigh more and are more dense. Overall a very good experience. My rating of 4 stars is only because I considered the meat a bit too dry, but still tasty. (7-10-12)
Love this place! The gluten free bun was amazing too! They even give you gluten free fry sauce! They also use a separate fryer for the gluten free stuff! I didn't get sick at all an it was amazing! Felt like a kid again at McDonalds getting my Happy Meal mix! Lol
has a GF bun! one of the only burger places i know of that makes me feel like I'm eating a burger and not a meat patty salad
