Almost the whole menu is marked gluten-free, but when you go there you realize that almost everything is cross contaminated and not safe for celiac. They were not even willing to make an effort to separate the Shawarma from the fries which were not gluten free. The claimed they can't do it because it's a 'signature dish'. I got sick after visiting there.

This is a new location for Au Za’atar, a Lebanese restaurant down in Alphabet City. Outdoor only seating for now, but comfortable. I split the Dalaa Mahshi dinner-for-two. Huge portion of lamb and spiced rice! Waiter assured us it was GF and even checked with the chef. I had no symptoms after. Good food and service. Menu shows lots of other potentially GF options (didn’t ask though). Would recommend!
