I loved this restaurant before my Celiac diagnosis. Had heard they were Celiac safe because Jack, one of the owners, has a daughter who was diagnosed 3 years ago.
Well, I talked to Jack. They offer GF salads, loco moco, lettuce wraps, and bacon wrapped jalapeños. That's it. No separate fryer. No GF spaces in the kitchen. Guaranteed cross-contamination. When I asked about GF buns, he said they have them right now, but not always.
This no longer is a restaurant option for me, which makes me very sad. Cannot recommend for Celiacs.
We had a great experience here. The wait staff was knowledgable and we had a lot of options to choose from!
One of the owner's children has celiac so they totally understand and are knowledgeable. Many gf items on the menu and many can be modified to be gf.
